For the streaming services, the unit works, and movies play well. The firmware is slow and cranky. Search facility is very cumbersome. I would recommend the unit, but only with the caveat that it's probably not best of breed for user interface.

The unit had an excellent picture but is limited because of the lack of controls. If you wear glasses or are over 65, it is better to find a more user friendly unit. The unit is small, the remote is small, the text is small. The unit is black in color and the lettering is nearly as dark and very tiny. The unit has only 2 controls on it - eject Disk and turn power on. The power indicator is so tiny, you will need a telescope and a flashlight to tell if the power is on or off. The remote is no better. This unit provides an excellent display put the poorest user experience I have ever seen. And... there is no user manual.

It’s the second one I’ve had, had to return the first, because it would freeze up. The new unit is doing the same. I have to unplug it and obviously plug it back in to unfreeze it.
