Great performance, good price from BB.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This LG blu ray player upscales regular DVDs to blue ray, plays regular blu ray discs beautifully, and has wi-fi capability to stream Netflix, Hulu, Google Play apps, Vudu, and others. The interface and menus are easy to navigate. The tray opens quickly and discs load fast. The quality of the sound is amazing. The included remote includes a battery. I compared this side by side with my Sony BP6700 4k upscaling blu ray player and I could not tell a difference between the two. And the Sony player is double the price. The player connected easily to my wireless home network and has never dropped a signal. I've very happy with my purchase. You will be too.

Great Streaming Device - after updating
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It plays blu-ray discs beautifully out of the box but Streaming Apps, not so much. During setup it appears to do update but I suspect it only tells you update is needed. Netflix stuttered until update was completed. Once you go into setting and pick "Other" it allows you to check for software updates and it needed both a software and driver update. Once completed it worked flawlessly but it needs to download and install the update after which it will shut off. Now it runs the newer "version" of Netflix without problems, on an older player the background of Netflix is red and the writing is black, now the background in black and the writing is red, a nicer look too. You need to be able to perform updates as the streaming apps will evolve over time and change their format, the player must be able to update to keep up with them. This LG BP350 can do that. The other great capability I found is that it can now "deactivate" Netflix from a menu selection so you can turn it off - great if you are lending your blu ray player, selling it or have a rental property since you don't want other people using up one of your accesses. I haven't gotten into the Smart Hi-Fi yet since speakers aren't available here.....

Boo. This thing is a hot mess.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hangs up every few seconds. Slow as mud. It does have a good picture and was very easy to set up. But I had to return it. Its faults far outweigh its picture quality. But it is pretty cheap. You pay for what you get.

Great everyday player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a basic Blu ray player for my bedroom. The plays older DVDs without a problem. You can get WiFi with a wired connection, but I already own other media streaming devices. This was so simple, just hook up the hdmi, plug into outlet, put disc in and go. Great pic.

A blu-ray player that works!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first Blu-ray player that I've owned ( I've had six) the actually functions! The others had problems with everything from the image freezing, to the sound out of sync, to sub-titles appearing without prompting. The BP 350 works fine. No problems. But, you should know a few things, there is no owner's manual,it is online (what about someone without a computer?). It has a rudimentary remote, but an app has to be downloaded to a cellphone to fully use the player (what about somebody without a cell?). Also, there is no image zoom. Every Blu-ray player, and every DVD player that I've owned had an image zoom. A small complaint about the zoom, but still, it should have one. But, I am glad that I bought this player.

So far so good!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, let me explain that I have trying for some times to replace our aging Samsung player. I first bought a Sony, which had no power light, I had to unplug the HDMI cable every time I wanted to turn it on as the power buttons and unplugging didn't work. 3 months and 3 replacements later I finally got them to issue me a refund. Then I bought a Samsung. Similar model and price, SAME PROBLEMS! Samsung, however, refunded me right away. So I finally decided to try again and bought this one. Amazingly, it has a power light on the front, the power buttons work (yeah), and I have had no issues except it disconnected from the network and I had to redo the login again as it apparently doesn't save the info. My only complaint is that unlike the Samsung we have and love (but is dying), it doesn't remember where you were on a disc once you turn it off. We change discs frequently so this is a sad loss as I now have to remember where I was in a movie or what episode I was watching a week or more ago, but I'll accept that for an actual working player.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like LG Products and this blu ray player works great. Tested it out with the latest release of Avatar, which does not play on older Blu-ray devices for reasons unknown to me. Anyway - worked like a champ. Great sound awesome visuals.

Great little player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Blu-Ray player for our master bedroom. I don't use any of the smart functions as the LG TV I have it paired with has all the web functions I need. So far this player is every bit as good as the player I bought several years ago which cost hundreds more. Overall I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Okay for Blu-Ray but not streaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this several weeks ago, and it constantly disconnected from my wifi, and would stop playing in the middle of episodes on both hulu and Netflix. I thought it was just a faulty one, because my LG tv works beautifully. I went back and exchanged it for another one, and the new one is doing the same thing. I checked my router and my connections with my wifi and there is no problem with either of them. So, it was the blu-ray player. I am taking it back tomorrow to exchange it for a sony. It worked fine for the blu-ray, but is not a good model to purchase if you will be doing a lot of streaming.

Not sure about this Blu-ray player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the LG to be compatible with the TV. Keep losing wifi network connection (but may be service provider?). Have to keep re-entering the wifi login, which is time consuming and annoying. Netflix freezes and buffers, but again, might be Netflix or internet. One negative is the flimsy remote control. It's small and cumbersome and does not connect well with the Blu-ray player. Have to point it exactly in front of the player, which is up high. It is not a good remote controller. I'll say that I would recommend, but not high rating, maybe it will work better with another wifi system. Recommend getting a better universal remote control.

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worse Blu Ray player for streaming. My cell phone and laptop streams better than the Blu Ray. It would not stay connected. It kept freezing. The set up was easy but you had to download the apps like netflix. If i download an app you would think that streaming would be more fluid. The main menu was extremely basic. I had to double check to make sure I had everything connected. It just seemed as if this product was not entirely ready to leave production and be sold.

Adequate inexpensive blu-ray player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this blu-ray player to replace a 2013 device that failed. Just needed something basic to watch DVDs we own. Don't care about the streaming capability as I can do that elsewhere. A drawback is no optical audio out on the device as our old player had, my soundbar is also about 7 years old and has optical inputs. HDMI splitter solved that problem. Kind of a shame not to have that output on the player itself, though, for backwards compatibility. Wasn't about to buy a new tv and/or new sound bar just to watch a handful of DVDs. But probably that's what the manufacturer wishes you would do - gee there's no output! I need a new tv! Not.

P O S for streaming Netflix
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this model bluray player and actually we ended up going through 3 of them and not a single one connected to Netflix, from the get go. Of course first thing I did was to check another app to see if it ran, and they all did, so I knew my wifi connection was fine. I'm not one to give up easily, so I called LG and Netflix. No help from LG other than to reset the device and when that didn't work, send it off for repair, I just got them today (return one bring another home to check). Netflix just flat out told me they have received many calls from issues with this particular device but have not been successful in fixing it. Their recommendation was to return it and get our money back. I even Googled some other options using my error codes and came up with multiple bad reviews of this device. I tried all Google options to try to fix our problem and nothing worked. So we're turning our third strike device and going with a different brand.
