Love LG. Great dvd player. Good quality. Bought two. My sister loves it also. Great that it streams. Easy to set up.

So I picked this device for a few reasons. First off it has all of the streaming app options I was looking for, and two it was recommended by the girl at the store, and it has good ratings. Here's the thing though, after only a few days the wifi receiver started acting up, disconnecting and losing the saved wifi settings. Then the unit itself started to randomly freeze either in a menu or at random points while watching a show or movie via streaming. It was somewhere around the two week mark that I actually put a disc in to watch, I had to turn the volume up all the way on my tv and sound bar to TRY to cover up the growl of the disc motor, eventually I piled some towels on the unit to muffle the sound. I've had it for maybe a month and a half now and the wifi receiver just gave out completely, Unfortunately for me I threw the box away anticipating a quality machine. Take my advice, spend the extra money and get something better, I just threw mine in the trash... (one star is required so I guess that star can be for the available streaming apps it comes with, BTW you have to download each app before you can use it)

I purchased this DVD player to go with my LG TV and LG Soundbar. I set it up as directed watched a movie, no problems. Wanted to watch Netflix but that wasn't happening. Did everything that was stated on directions but no luck. I went so far as to factory reset and start all over to think I did something wrong initially, well that didn't cut it. It would pull Netflix up but wouldn't load eve after 10 minutes. I just wanted an extra DVD player for a guest room, but I guess I will got back to Samsung.

We've loved our other LG products, but we had nothing but trouble with this one. It did play the one DVD we tested pretty well (other than an internet connectivity error popping up in the middle of it), but it was terrible for streaming Netflix. CONS: -Repeatedly froze up and had to be completely unplugged to reset. -Delayed/Laggy response to the remote. Sometimes it didn't register a button being pushed (no matter how hard it was pushed), and sometimes there was a lag before it would respond, then it would register several button pushes all at once and shoot too far forward down a list. The machine's response to the remote was just all around awful, and there are no buttons on the machine itself to use instead. -Constantly lost connectivity to the internet and popped up huge error messages about it even while watching DVDs (we had a PS3 before this, and it never lost wifi connection, not sure what the problem was). -Streaming Netflix shows would glitch sound or image or occasionally stop altogether. There was no buffering sign, no signal that internet had been lost, it would just stop. We've since returned this one and bought a higher priced Sony machine and no longer have any problems.

Wi-Fi installed easily. Player has developed a flash on screen when playing a dvd.

Performs as advertised. Open box purchase was a GREAT DEAL.

If simplicity is what you after, this is the dvd player for you. And it the option of using an hdmi cable resulting in a better quality of picture and sound.

Easy hook-up and the streaming works great. What stinks was I put a DVD in and it started to freeze or no sound here and there. I tried another DVD, same thing, I tried another, same thing, I tried another same thing. I know what your thinking, maybe the DVD's were bad. NO WAY, we checked the DVD's.....all 10 of them and same problem. I got a LEMON and going to return it. There went our movie watching evening.

Just perfect for the need to play Blu Ray disks when guest come over.

Works well, good features, compatible, lg tv recognizes and sets up automatically.

Bought this Blu-ray player cause my daughter got a new movie and couldn't get our Blu-ray player to work so we made a Best Buy run. We have had no problems with it.

The unit was easy to install and setup. Easy to operate.

I really like this blue ray, the only issue I have is it didn't come with HD cord and that is the only way to connect it to TV.

Very nice DVD player! Works beautifully. I originally bought a cheap Dynex $10 HDMI cable for this unit and it didn't give me a picture so I exchanged it for another inexpensive cable, the $30 AudioQuest one, which works beautifully! Don't waste your time with the Dynex cable.

as a basic blu ray player goes this fits the bill, but don't expect great loading times and features

The player didn’t play as well as my older player and the prime video app wasn’t working I returned it

From the moment I took it out of the box, I had issues with it. it constantly kept disconnecting from my Wi-Fi and would not store the information into the unit itself. I go to play a Blu-Ray disk and it keeps ejecting the disk. I put in a different Blu-Ray movie, it does the same thing. It has no issues playing a DVD movie, or even something I've burned off my computer but refuses to play any and all blu-ray movies. I have updated the firmware, so everything is up to date. I have cleaned the lens, checked the disks and still nothing. I am now in the market for a new player that is anything but LG.

A little sensitive but good player. If your dvd has a scratch in it the dvd player will find it.
