    JUNK

Ordered this for my parents for Christmas because they still like to watch DVDs here and there, but mostly to watch Netflix. Fresh out of the box it seemed pretty decent, but after a day it’s clear that it’s a piece of crap. It seems that switching between other HDMI inputs causes it freeze, at which point you need to unplug, then re-enter ALL the WiFi settings again. It was off all day today, turned it on and switched to the correct input slot, and just shows a blank screen. Can’t wait to take it back tomorrow and pay a little more for something higher quality. Really disappointed in LG for this one. Many other reviews just like mine so I know it’s not just me or an isolated issue. Unrelated to the streaming/display issues, the remote may just be made out of air and the lightest plastic known to man...it feels so cheap and low quality.

I just needed a little smart DVD player for my bedroom and this one works great with my regular tv. And it has an app you can use to control it instead of the remote.

DO NOT BUY LG streaming players

This is a totally useless player. It barely works as a disc player. And if you think it is going to be compatible with any sort of streaming service, you will be sorely disappointed. It constantly freezes and hangs trying to stream Amazon, Netflix or Pandora. I don't know if it's only this model or all LG players, but I can promise you I will not be buying anything made by LG to find out. We got this thinking it would work well with the LG TV. It does not. I guess it is time to go back to Sony., however much more it costs, it works.

I went to a lot of sites reading reviews on this player. Should have heeded the reviews. Streaming was so slow it couldn't pass the 99% buffer to play Netflix or Amazon video.

I think that this product functions well. It is able to pick up wi-fi signal better than my previous blu-ray players and plays my movies with good quality.

    Terrible player

I bought this because I have an LG tv which has come out good and I wanted the same brand bluray. But unfortunately, the screen freezes, I get a white screen and it won't respond to the remote. I did a firmware update, reset all the settings to default and nothing helped. I have to constantly keep unplugging it from the power just so I can get it to work again.Since it's under warranty, I called LG and they offered to refund me my money. I'm waiting for their paperwork to come in.

Don't waste your time or money!

I purchased this LG product and it kept freezing up on me as soon as it was booted up. Nothing worked... power switch, DVD/CD tray, etc. I had to disconnect the power cord, which meant whenever I turned it back on, I had to re-type my 16 character internet code again! I tried this 3 separate times. BTW... this LG product was an exchange for the Sony BDP-S3700 that I originally purchased. Another item to not waste your time or money on. Solution: Buy just a cheap DVD/Blu-Ray player that does NOT have streaming Wi-Fi and then purchase an Apple TV (no... not an actual TV. The little streaming device). After reading a lot of the same 1-star reviews here, it's a wonder ANY of these Blu-ray players with Wi-Fi work! BTW... 5 Stars to Best Buy for their incredibly hassle-free return policy!

After getting the DVD player set up and connected to the internet it worked for about 2 hours before any streaming apps were just starting to freeze or just not play completely. After 3 days so far I have had to unplug and plug it back in over a dozen times. I will return this as soon as possible. Dvds work fine but if you’re looking for something to stream on this is a terrible device for that

    Freezes and loses WiFi settings

This is a new purchase and it keeps freezing up randomly in the Netflix app. I also have had to reset the WiFi settings including the tedious password entry every time I've used it. Since others seem to be having the same problem it's not just one bad unit. Two stars because it does seem to play disks OK but who knows. I plan to try to return it. Disappointing because I wanted it to match up with my other LG devices.

Bought a blue ray player BP350 for our son and it is terrible. Yes you can watch dvds and blu rays however every so often during the movies a pop up comes on saying need to connect to internet which never stays connected. We should not have to connect to internet or wifi in order to watch a movie on disc.

It is functional, and value priced. But be prepared to have to turn up the volume when playing DVDs to drown out the noise of this unit spinning the DVDs.

I purchased this player for the guest bedroom. The reviews on Best Buy were overall good , however , when I hooked it up , it would not stay connected to the wireless signal. I know it is not my signal strength because other devices work well in that area. I went to the LG website to look for support , where I was surprised to find many negative reviews for this product , all having the same problem as me. I took it back to Best Buy and exchanged it for the comparable Sony model. The Sony model stays connected with no buffering , has many more built in apps , and an Ethernet connection. The return process at Best Buy took less than ten minutes.

Bought one of these after my old Sony quit working. ordered it on line and it was here before expected delivery date. Installed it and it was fine for the first day, then the it started locking up and I would have to unplug it for about 30 seconds and plug it back in. It would then be okay for a day or even two. This continued for a couple of weeks and then it would not connect to the internet. Took it to the nearest Best Buy (40 miles one way) and exchanged it for another [same model]. had the unit a month and it started locking up while streaming, then it would lock up while booting, after a week of that I took it back to Best Buy and received a credit and purchased an Sony. I don't think I will buy another LG again. The good thing is the service at Best Buy there was no hassle returning either one of the units and they were very helpful.
