Not a bad product for the money. There can be a streaming lag and the picture isn't the best when it's warming up. Not sure if it's our tv, internet or the box itself. Once it gets warmed up and going then it fine. Love that you can stream Amazon, YouTube and more!

Picked this up to replace my xbox one so I could move the gaming unit to another room. I usually stream but this seems like a nice player in case I need to use it - complete with smart apps which is the standard today. Extremely cheap yet functions well. Recommended if needed.

The LG is an entry level Blu-Ray device that is to play movies and stream from the web. The issues I have had is with “start-up” for streaming. Once the player is turned on it goes to its first screen, gives the icon that it is connecting to internet, then goes to a blank white screen. It never reconnects, won’t allow you turn it off. You must manually disconnect from power source, reconnect to power and start process over. Typically, by second or third time it will connect and I can select my streaming subscription. It has no problems for loading a Blu-Ray movie.

Perfect size for travel. Easy to use and functions as advertised. I would buy again.

Fairly easy to set up. The remote response time (e.g. open/close) could be improved. It's hard to tell sometimes whether the remote has actually sent the command, or whether the command has been received.

Needed a DVD player something simple this fit the bill just fine. It actually has eextras I dont use or need but evry mfr tries to hype the product w/extra features. The product did malfunction the first time would freeze up when playing a DVD or even when using the Netflix feature on free trial. BUT Best buy exchanged it the 2nd worked fine Netflix free feature trial worked fine then I cut the trial at end of free period as this was something i didnt really need. Good product for the price

Despite the less than stellar reviews I purchased this unit to use with an LG TV so I could eliminate one remote control. Nope, my TV's remote would not allow me to access the menu or control the setup process (not sure about controlling the unit for watching discs or streaming). Easy setup but then went to test streaming and two fatal flaws immediately emerged: 1) constant buffering of stream rendering is unwatchable and 2) unit response to it's remote control commands was beyond sluggish. Mind you that this unit was a replacement for a Sony, which I wanted to move upstairs. Just to double-check that it was not the TV itself or the WiFi signal, I hooked the Sony back up to the TV and had no issues. Taking this back ASAP and buying the Sony I should have purchased in the first place. I am not rolling the dice and exchanging for another of these units.

for the price this DVD player cant be beat. its constructed very sturdy and has great quality

This produce does the job. My priority is to simply play Blue Ray and DVD's. If you want to stream, get a ROKU stick.

I bought this to replace my older LG blue ray player that stopped working after 6 or 7 years. I went with what I was familiar with. This is the exact same from the older model but smaller, more compact, and slightly updated to include Amazon. For the price, it does all I need.

Great little Blu-ray Player easy to setup and work. Plays from both front USB 2.0 port & Blu-ray Player. Very good value for the buck.

I purchased so that I could play DVDs as well as access Netflix. The player was easy to set up and use.

I would have given this unit 5 stars, but every now & then it seems to freeze and I have to literally disconnect it from the power & then plug it back up again to get it working. Other than that inconvenience, I enjoy streaming just about anything through my TV.

I like this blu ray player because it is compact size and it was so easy to set up. Good quality player.

Remote does not work at times. Will not select any of the buttons pushed. Fails to open door when button pushed. If door does open then it will not let you close door. Plays DVD fine but will not let you remotely stop or pause video. WIFI has issues with connecting to premium features. It "freezes up" when playing video from Amazon fire stick,. When it does connect to Amazon video it plays audio only, not video. Then it will not let me stop video and I can't even reset anything without disconnecting power cord on rear of unit. It is disappointing that it has a WIFI feature that doesn't work. The WIFI as well as the remote device are basically useless. I have had this unit approximately 12 hours.

I just wanted a device that could play Blu-Ray and also give me access to other streaming apps -- such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. This was the perfect solution. It is much cheaper than a PS4 or XBOX One! HAHA. I hooked this up to my LG TV and it worked beautifully. Because it is LG, the interface was very much similar to the TV's so I was pretty much used to it. Easy to navigate. Another thing is it is WiFi. It doesn't have an Ethernet port in the back so it is one less wire running behind my TV. The only downfall is it can be slow sometimes.

Mostly I got this for the wifi and it has worked great so far. The remote is very small and looks and feels like a junky remote from a car stereo but that does not really bother me...as long as it works. I gave 4 stars because many users will be upset with the cheapo remote.
