Sad thing is, I absolutely hate Apple! Let's see where do I start? The operating system is clunky it freezes just about anytime you put it through any type of workload.a lot of the new apps and newer versions of apps cannot be downloaded because it doesn't work with the phone. You would think LG would upgrade the hardware in the Stylo 5 however it's basically a Stylo 4 plus just rebranded. 3 gigs of RAM which the Stylo 4 plus has. 32 gig hard drive which the Stylo 4 plus has. Without looking I'm going to say that the processor isn't any better than the Stylo 4 plus. All around, save your money up and buy an iPhone or Samsung I wouldn't pay for this if you gave me the money. The only reason I gave it to Stars is because it's not a ZTE however, I'd almost be willing to bet, that a ZTE could be better than this phone! Rant concluded.

Sometimes it is the upgrades that you don’t use that are the most impactful. The LG Stylo 5 is built for the unexpected situation introducing IP68 Dust and Water Resistant & Shock Resistant - MIL-STD-810G Tested for the masses. Additional upgrades include Gorilla Glass 3, increased battery capacity, enhanced stylus functionally all in an improved finish. ^CP

I had a Stylo 4 several month ago and really liked it. I switched to Samsung 9+ though, but when stylus 5 came out I felt tempted again. I do like this one a lot! I must say that the price for what the phone does is incredibly low (not that I am complaining:), but I just want to be fair.
For an average user (everyday occasional browsing, e-mails, social media and other apps, calls & texting) the phone does it all without any problem. You don't need to spend extra 500$ for a flagman phone if you don't do gaming or any other power and speed demanding tasks. You can also speed this phone up by changing the animation speed in developer's options (google: how to make your android faster).
After a saturated Samsung palette my eyes are resting on this LG screen with less intense brightness and colors. The touch is very gentle (some may find this screen too sensitive) and I find the keyboard layout more comfortable for typing.
The screen is HUGE and you can make the apps and everything else bigger if your sight demands it. I love big screens and big lettering.
The stylus is a fantastic addition to this phone. All the functions it offers (capture, make a giphy, take a quick note, browse the Internet etc.) are very handy, and the coloring book is a hit. I am an adult and I would never think I will enjoy this activity so much:)
One may find the colors dull and miss the premium phone feel, but it is a big phone for just 250$.
The battery lasts for a long 10 hours day and I still have about 40% left when I get home.
Also it is very light, and the back cover has a very pleasant silky surface. I've had this phone for several days, and don't have a single scratch yet. However I am planning to get a case for it...
What I would improve is the camera (it is very basic), and give it more ram memory, so it scrolls smoother and opens the apps faster.
I like LG phones in general, and this one offers much more than an average budget phone.

Everything was great until the screen started having a problem. I don't even know what to call it so I haven't had much luck searching for solutions online. See the attached picture. I bought it on December 23, 2019 so it hasn't even been a year yet. Moreover, the phone was only used 10-15 mins daily until around August when I actually put a Sim card so a family member could use it. I've had a G3 before with screen, battery and boot-loop issues after 2 years so I don't know why I bought another LG phone expecting better results. However, I would appreciate it if they (LG) could replace the screen for free or if someone knows how to fix this.

1-The 6.2" screen with crisp vivid colors****WOW****
2-I don't loose network connection while traveling.
3-5MP front camera and 13MP on the back are more than excellent for work and entertainment.
4-Android 9.0 is top of the line and it is good for the coming few years.
5-fingerprint sensor for more security.
6-32GB memory is not much, but you can expand it.
7-You can edit notes and pictures with your finger or the pen.
8-The battery last the whole day with moderate to heavy work.
9-Speaker very loud.
So, what else you need in a phone for $250.0

I love this phone. I bought the Unlocked version because I use Straight Talk.
The size fits perfectly in my hand. The graphics are amazing....crisp, vibrant and vivid. Phone signal reception is impressive (I live in the boonies and I get 3 bars of 4g/lte. I've never gotten more than 2 on any other phone.)
Very responsive. Quick to load apps. The battery lasts me all day and I'm a moderate, to heavy at times, user. It never gets hot even when I've got 5 or 6 apps running at the same time.
Volume controls can be set up so you are controlling app volume with the side control buttons. Speaker is really good. Much louder than my old phone (G6).
The camera is fantastic. It includes an AI option/lens. Pictures are crystal clear.

The Stylo 5 is a device that has a combination of user friendly settings to me and the ability to do everything you want it to without the big price tag of the competition flagship devices with a stylus. Overall I like it, I like it's size, it's performance, Easy to use.I enjoy being able to color or draw when I am bored. The new rings and sound settings are nice as well. The pictures are clear and like that i can add stuff. I really like this phone, I like the fact that it costs less by being an unlocked version, it is cheaper than the retail price of it on Verizon Wireless website. It's a good phone to me so far. I'd recommend anyone to go for it with it being not a bad price when you buy it as unlocked and decide to activate it on the day you get it so you do not have to activate it later meaning it will cost more when you activate it later. This was a good replacement phone, needed in a hurry.

Awesome phone, screen is great, battery is great, camera could be better. The stylus is great, Processor is has a good speed. Double tap to unlock is also a major plus. Cant wait to see Android 10. Just go Android 9 on LG Stylus 4 - I have both, just for comparison - only difference was the Android system. I would recommend this anyone who wants a great low price phone.

LG Stylo 5 or note 9

This reviews for an LG Stylo 5. I currently own a note 9 this phone was for my mom and I bought a Stylo 4 for my son. The Stylo 4 and 5 are basically identical phones. Both screens are big over 6in. Both phones we're easy to activate and our easy 2 use. The Stylo 5 is Snappy flipping through pages to apps. It opens up programs and apps quickly.. even though it runs a Snapdragon 435 and the note runs an 845, the difference isn't all that much. There definitely is a difference but it's something you could live with easily. The Stylo 5 Calling texting all works well as expected. It even has a stylus that you can use to mess around with and take notes and draw pictures Etc.... Just like the note 9. It appears there's really no difference between the note 9 and a Stylo LG 4/5 in terms of functionality. The Stylo 5 basically does everything a note 9 does. Sure the screen isn't as Nice. It's not as fast as the nine but that's really about it ...
can't think of anything else. So if you're looking to spend over $1,000 on a note 9 you could basically get the same phone in a Stylo 4 or 5 for under $200. I would highly recommend the Stylo 4 / 5. By the way my mom who's 78 was using a Samsung phone with 5.3 inch screen and she went up to the Stylo 5 activated it herself and loves it. What's not to like.

Ive had several iphones in the past, but honestly i prefer this any day. The image quality is great, the camera isnt bad, and it runs quite quickly with several awesome features. I was skeptical about purchasing this initially because most phones on the market range closer to $1,000. But in all honesty this phone is just as "beautiful" and outstanding as the next. Im very pleased with my purchase.

It is a very easy phone to use. The camera shoots good photos, very high quality. It has better sound than the previous LG STYLO'S. The colors on the screen have more quality. And it is an advantage that it is an unlocked phone. The battery lasts longer.

I upgraded from an older LG and love this phone. The screen is large and the included stylus helps with navigating. At first I thought the phone may be too large, but now it's not an issue at all. I find myself reaching for my tablet less as this screen size is great for searching the web and email. The phone is fast and the camera is decent. I don't play games on the phone so can't comment on that. For the price point this phone is an excellent value.

If You are on a budget you could do way worse than an LG stylo 4 or 5. I've had both phoned and they are identical with the 5 feeling a little more, high quality I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a 6 to try it out. For your everyday smart phone user this phone has everything you need expandable but not that accessible storage, decent camera and a fast enough processor. This phone isn't I par with iPhone, or Samsung's S or A seriesbut at it's price it blows the competition away. So if on a tight budget and needing a solid backup or even every day phone. I highly recommend the stylo. Btw only knocks are battery life, inability to move apps to sd card and plastic screen.

I bought the phone for my daughter, she she liked it so much.
It also takes good pictures.
For the end use and the price I paid, it is worth more than the other expensive phones, with features, that most of the time, many do not use anyway.

I've had my phone for about 7 months now & I LOVE it! I have zero complaints. The size helps me with my bad eyes, but it's not too big or bulky like so many other phones out there. I haven't had any problems.
The stylus is AWESOME & I most likely won't go back to a phone without it! It's so much easier & faster to use it. Now I'm addicted & can't stand to text or explore online without it!
I'd definitely get a cover for it, too!

Ordered this phone to replace my Samsung S6 which would not hold a charge. I think this LG kicks Samsungs you know what! Best buy for the money by far and holds a charge for days. Its fast and easy to use. Very pleased with this purchase and LG just got a new fan! Will be staying with them from now on. Most bang for the buck I've had in a long time. Thanks:)

This device has an unbelievably long battery life. That feature is so refreshing that it raises my review from 3 stars to 4. I also like the way the tabs stack up vertically so I can see them all at once, and they have the more practical [x] option for closing each one individually instead of a "clear all" option. I do, however, miss having a device that keeps ALL previous tabs open until I choose which ones to close. For example, if I do a google search and open a page on this device, then go back to the google app to do an additional search, this device deletes the previous google search page, making it impossible to toggle between the two pages. For the low $200 cost, this device is very good overall. The only other noticable negative is that the sound quality, although loud and clear, is kind of "cheap". That is, when you listen to music on it, you can't hear the original rich blend of sounds in a song...All you can hear is treble.
