Good - Go for it

I liked neck band, very soft and smooth, you will not feel it. Retractor works good, just pull the string and leave it to close. So far so good no issues. Uses USB C , Tested 10mins charging works great. Charges fast. It comes with additional ear buds and charging cable. Packing is perfect. Here are the things you confuse: 1. Pairing : No specific pairing button or blinking lights. You just need to press n hold “On/Off” for few seconds and then select the device in phone to pair. If You ware and do pairing you can hear about pairing. 2. After pairing it, first time it may not work immediately, you just need to off n on. I am not sure why it is like. Maybe it happened only to me. It has google assist button on right.

Not what they used to be

I had to return this. The sound quality was not good at all. It may work out better for someone else but not for me.

Wasted my money

Very loose fitting around the neck; I can understand the need for flexibility but the flexibility of this device is for the neck of an elephant (of course this is an exaggeration but you get my point). The phone call quality is good when call quality is allowed; good call quality is not consistent. Out of 10 phone calls 2 are of good quality (lots of static and loss of sound).

In my opinion

They held up for almost a year. These started having issues in less than a week and at 1 month they quit altogether. The cables kinked and stopped retracting. I cannot get them to charge. I don't remember ever purchasing anything that disappointed me as much as this has.

Google Assistant built in and great sound quality

I was an early adopter of the original LG Tone, and am a heavy bluetooth user thanks to my job (which requires use of both hands and 6+ hours on the phone per day) and being a twin dad trying to keep up with two boys all the time. TL;dr: +great sound quality in a wireless headset thanks to meridian DSP +long battery life, fast and easy charging with USB-C +Google Assistant built in is reason enough to buy this headset -some rustling/booming when the wires rub against a shirt, due to the seal of the earbuds -call quality is not quite as good as a top-end headset specifically for calls due to pickup of ambient noise FIt and finish are excellent. The retract feature just requires a slight tug and the earbuds return quickly into the ends of the neckband with minimal overhang, which improves on previous models that left some of the silicone open to being banged around past the end of the band. The "Flex" aspect grants enough durability and flexibility that I have zero worries about "properly" putting this in my bag. I am not a big fan of the true wireless form factors because they will always require some kind of extra case to carry and charge. I love that the Tone Flex has USB-C for the charge port – now I can theoretically carry one charger for my phone, chromebook, laptop, and headset. Noise isolation is as good as standard wired earbuds thanks to the silicone ear gels. My one negative is the “rustling” noise transmission up the cable into my ear is noticeable with a collared shirt or jacket on when moving around. Once seated in a car or airline seat this isn’t really a concern anymore. Sound quality for music and audiobooks is excellent compared to my 1st gen Tone as well as my Voyager 5200. I found the Meridian DSP processing to be a nice enhancement for some low quality recordings. With MP3 audiobooks from my library’s app, the difference was noticeable. Out of the box I paired the Tone Flex to my GS9+ and used the LG Tone & Talk app to investigate the various settings. The EQ was defaulted to bass boost. I tried “normal” and “treble” and found that I prefer treble over the other two options. Voice quality for phone calls is superior to my previous Tone – the addition of a second mic on the outside of the neckband helps with elimination of background noise. It’s still not as good as headsets designed specifically for call quality but it’s a significant improvement from using wired earbuds for the folks who might still be using those for calls. On the left side of the neckband are the three ‘normal’ multifunction buttons – Power, Vol +, Vol -. Power also functions as play/pause with a short press, Vol up and down also function as Prev/Next track with long press. All buttons function as expected and the ‘long’ press functions are just right in terms of delay. The right side of the neckband has the single button for Google Assistant – which is my favorite feature of the Tone Flex! The google assistant button is simply AWESOME. In my smart home we use both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant devices, and I have enjoyed the functionality of Google Assistant built into my phone and chromebook. As heavy assistant users probably know, the pickup of “hey google” can be troublesome in a noisy environment (like a home with twin 4 year olds) or in a car when bluetooth might be paired to multiple devices. Now with the Tone Flex I can hold the google assistant button and speak without worrying about having to repeat myself or touch my phone when the wake word doesn’t actually wake my phone. This one feature alone has led to the Tone Flex replacing my Voyager 5200 as my standard BT headset. Overall the Tone Flex gets two huge thumbs up from me and 5 stars.

I bought on 12/20 12/21, it didn’t even lasted a month. My left side ain’t working, battery don’t even last that long. I’m highly upset because I can’t get a refund. This is trash, I definitely recommend people not to buy this. Don’t waste your money!

This is my replacement headset becasue the the first headset from Best Buy did this too, but that was the Sony model.

It sucks

I called best buy and I was told they wasn't going to replace them. I thought it had a one year warranty. I going to contact LG. I'm fine with best buy.

Terrible bluetooth

They want stay charged terrible sound and sometimes people can't hear me. I called LG and they giving me a hard time saying to send in device first then they will replace them.
