This is the absolute worst pair of LG Bluetooth headphones I have ever purchased. I purchased the headphones in January it is now March and the neck band has snapped one of the ear buds has broken off. I thought since these were more expensive they would have better sound and call quality. Nope don’t waste your time or money the platinum headphones are trash.

This item has been purchased 3 times and it has broken in the same spot every time. Not well designed or poor quality product. So glad I had the presence of mind to buy the warranty.

Some of the best neck-phones I have ever owned. Pros: great sound quality, lightweight, very low profile, sleek, and comfortable to wear, excellent noise canceling, smooth and convenient retracting feature, long battery life and notifies battery level when turning on, good battery life for the size (~9 hours), nice button features. Cons: Price, not much bass Seriously the only real complaint about this product is the price. I got these on sale for $150. Comparing from my previous noise canceling neck-phones I bought for $80, this is only one tier above. But nowadays, reliable reatractable around-the-neck headphones are hard to find. So I would only recommend these if you are willing to pay a premium for them.

These new LG Tone Platinum are a replacement for a previous version. When the other ones I purchased along with Best Buy's extended warranty stopped working after about 18 months, Best Buy replaced them with these as the older ones were no longer available. I've been happy with these units from LG but they do not last very long. (These are actually my 4th pair.) The BB associate informed me that they no longer offer the extended warranty on these as they WILL stop working after a period of time. Still, I love how lightweight they are and the sound quality is very good. They're perfect for wearing in my office throughout the day. They recharge quickly and a charge lasts all day at the office and through my after-work exercise routine. I don't know that I would spend the money on these though without the ability to purchase the extended warranty. So when these eventually die, I'll likely move on to another brand.

I gave them a good rating (4 Stars) because they address and work for what i need them for. Sound quality is great along with Durability and Battery life. The not so great part is the integrated Google Assist that requires the Google Assist app. If you are an iPhone user and want to be able to use Siri seamlessly with a headset then this is not the set for you. If you are an Android user and like the google Assist then you are right at home here. Seeing i use these for my work phone (which is an iPhone) the engagement with the PDA is now when i engage it from the phone rather than the headset. Any descent headset should be allow you to engage your digital assistant from your phone and this clearly does not. For that reason i knocked it a star.. It would have been a 1.5 stars but that is not an option. Right now i am contemplating returning these because of this annoyance as i use the digital assistant alot when working and meeting with clients. Google assist only works literally half the time on any apple product i have used and LG's choice to use this as the goto Assistant was poor. Choosing Apple's Siri would have been just as bad- my point is it should allow you to freely engage with your device (regardless of what your assistant is) Overall: Good Sound, Little Better durability than my other LG Infinitum Pro Plus (that my son broke, which is why i purchased these. My older LGs lasted 5.5 Years before he got to them). What didn't work for me is the assistant integration. I would happily trade these in for one that works with Siri... for what it is worth...

I really like the sound from the headphones - its a noticeable difference from the previous generation of LG headphones. The buttons take a little getting use to. My old LG had buttons on both the right and left side. This Upgraded LG Tone has only one connect button on the left. I prefer the old configuration but as I said I'm slowly getting used to it. These are very comfortable to wear. The flexibility in the neck portion is really good. I cracked my old LG taking it off and on. I have not been able to sync the Google Assistant. I've followed all the instructions and still no connection. It hasn't been an issue since I don't really need or have used it in the past. I use headphones so much I decided to pay the higher price for these hoping they would last longer than my last two pair - which is about 18 months. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the one button vs two button issue I discussed above and I haven't been able to connect to Google. I've searched You-Tube and several websites to see if I doing something wrong but these are so new there is virtually no "how to" that I can find.

The sound on these lg platinum were really satisfying. The highs are really nice without piercing or distortion. The base is good but not overpowering. The battery lasts me all day and the charging is very very fast. The retractable wires are really useful especially when I'm working hanging wire. The connectivity is amazing. I walked about 80ft straight before any sound distortion. There is no sound latency when watching anything on YouTube or listening to music that I have experienced. The phone conversation is excellent. The mic doesn't pick up ambient noise highly as other brands do, so the person you're speaking to is not tormented because of the the high ambient noise. Overall I'm a happy customer with this product. The only thing I would say that I wish Lg would have done is added ANC tech to it and it would be perfect. Other than that Thumbs up from me.

I love these. This is my third consecutive LG headset. I am a bus driver, so my headset is like an appendage. They are on 10 or more hours a day. I use them for music and phone. I haven’t had a pair last 2 years yet- which is why I always get the Geek squad protection, but honestly, there isn’t anything on the market that would work better for me. Other sets of like quality or better put the mic on the earbud, which is a problem when there is so much engine noise! Others also do not retract, which leaves an annoying swish-swish sound if you have to leave one dangling (as I often do) to hear people talking to you in person, etc. LG Platnum ARE retractible, with the mic on the housing-not the bud. Also, the sound quality is great! The drawbacks with this new model: The pull-activated retraction I feel will, in time, damage the delicate wires. I prefer the button retraction of the older model. Also, the Google Assistant button. Not a fan! I have an iPhone, so this is a useless button. I miss the dedicated music and dedicated call buttons being separate. I can live with these changes, though, because for me, there is no alternative.

The sound quality on both ends are fantastic. I don't get any complaints from the other end that they can't hear me and rarely have to repeat myself. I have no issues hearing audio from music, audio books, or phone calls. This thing just works and it charges really fast. So comfortable that I forget it's in my ear. Much better than ear pods because they kept calling out of my ear. If these fall out, I will never lose them or need to search the floor for them as they are always around the neck somewhere. Retracts with a slight tug and the ear pieces are out of your way if you don't need them.

I've tried almost all the mid to high end headsets up to 200 bucks and this by far beats them all in comfort, reliability, ease of use, sound quality both in music and calls on both sides. Only down side is best buy doenst warranty them anymore. If best buy reads this please please bring back the warranties on the LG's... only time I used my warranty was when they accedently broke. Owned 1 pair for almost 2 years through landscaping and driving. And they performed at their best all the time. Plus you call literally listen to music all day non stop on a single charge

I have an older LG headset and thought I would upgrade. The sound quality on calls is great, my family says it's much better than the older one. The controls are easy to use and I thought I would like it more, but I have an iPhone, and the only way to use this with Siri is through the Google Assistant. My older headset connects directly. On this headset you have to keep holding the button until you request Goodle to activate Siri and then whaterver your command is. The older headset is just a press once deal, which is much more hands free. Also, the learning curve with the voice commands is huge. I used it for a week, and it still could not reckognize my most called names. The last straw was that several times throughout the day I had to open my phone and restart the Google Assistant in order to use the headset. Again, not very hands free if you have to pick up your phone. I ended up returning it and going back to my old one.

Good quality ( materials and sound) comfortable ( I wear all day) Battery life is better than the average headsets. Assistant button comes really handy and of you set up with your phone it will read your notifications to you. Be aware it has a short range of reception compare to others headsets (way cheaper than this one)

Is the clearest for cell phone use I have found. I'd give it a 5-star review for that. I listen to music with it as well but you may be able to find a better music only headset. My first LG-Tone Platinum lasted for 4 years but the second one began coming apart, and actually lost a section of the plastic neck piece, within 18 months. I am giving it 4-stars because it's not made to last as the first edition was. Also, I liked the set-up of buttons on the first edition better as well. They moved the on/off switch to the other side which made it less convenient to have the on/off switch and the answer and volume slide on separate sides. They added a google assistant button which is not something I utilize. Lastly, the voice quality seems to have deteriorated much faster on the second one I purchased than the original.

I've been using different LG Tones headphones for years now. I started with one of the 700 models and upgraded several times. Unfortunately they have some major issues that keep me from recommending them. These headphones sound amazing. Their range is outstanding and I have no complaints with the harmon kardon speakers inside. The sound is full and well balanced, not bass heavy like other brands. The battery life is also outstanding. I use these quite a bit and I only have to charge them every 5 or so days. The fact that they fast charge is a major convenience that cant be underrated. The only complaint here is the micro-usb port, they should have gone with a more modern usb-c port. The retractable buds are extremely convenient but also where my major complaints start. This feature is what kept me coming back to this product. They store themselves and do so easily. The older models used a button to retract the buds. These felt robust and they never had a problem. Now its on some type of spring system forcing you to pull on them to get them to retract. This is probably the big reason one of the buds literally tore off both this model and the XL7 after only 6 months each. Luckily they were covered under warranty so I wasn't out of pocket for replacements. But I never had problems with the older models that had a button to retract. My biggest problem with them was the Bluetooth connectivity. This issue has been getting worse ever since the previous model, the HBS-1100 came out and continues through these and their successor the flex series. When I'm using them with my phone in my pocket and I bend over, the sound cuts out. This is so consistent that I think they haven't upgraded the Bluetooth module for several generations. This has happened with 3 different brands of phone and 3 models of headsets (hbs1100-Galaxy s8, hbs1125-One Plus 7 Pro, hbsXL7-Galaxy S21 5G). So my final opinion is that their next model could be excellent if they bring back some more robust tech and upgrade the Bluetooth module. But until that happens, I reccomend something else.

Excellent sound quality. These phones fit comfortably around the neck and the retracting cords render them convenient for wearing when not in use. Connectivity to the phone is great, with a Bluetooth distance of close to 30'. The Google assist integration is the best. allowing hands free dialing and automated message reading (by the phone, not me). If there's a down side it's the thin earplug cords, which are apparently a little fragile, as Best Buy doesn't offer their extended warranty with this item. Just treat them with respect. I haven't had any problem.

I highly recommend this headset if you are familiar with the previous LG Tone products. This model has a clean crisp sound, but not a lot of bass. The noise cancelation is a mid tier quality. Comfort around the neck is great. The ease of use is a key feature I like. Ear buds are retractable by pulling gently outward. You can also use these as "ear plugs" to reduce the decibels of a loud environment. Durable, light weight, and sleek design make these a great choice.

I have owned various versions of the LG Tones over the last 10 years or so. They are all very well built. I love the retractable versions of them. I use my all day every day of the week. These don't always pair with my Galaxy S10 easily. Or I should say the Google assistant doesn't always. All my other versions have had no issues. I have always been able to get to eventually. Just takes going into a couple menus to finish it sometimes. Sound quality is great. 12-13 hours of music each day. Easy controls. Good product.
