Excellent Moderately Priced 200Hz Gaming Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 27" IPS (In-Plane Switching) QHD (Quad HD) 2560 x1440 pixels, 200Hz Refresh Rate, with low-ghosting, reduced blur 1ms gray to gray response time Gaming Monitor Model 27G610A-B presents a clear, vibrant picture with 400 nit / candela to square meter brightness, 1000:1 (brightest white to darkest black) contrast with 8 to 10 bit color offering 1.07 billion total colors and 1,024 shades per channel provide smooth color gradients and less banding with a wide 99% sRGB (Standard RGB) accurate color coverage / gamut. This monitor supports HDR 10, which is the most common High Dynamic Range video standard used by 4K Blu-rays and HDR TV and streaming services. In order to achieve the best specifications for the 27G610A-B, you must have a higher end graphic card that can push this monitor to its best. I am using an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. When using the DisplayPort cable supplied with the monitor the Refresh Rate meets the full 200Hz. If I were to use an HDMI 2.1 cable instead, then my Refresh Rate would only run at 144Hz. The equipment matters. LG has added numerous other features that enhance what may seem to some as basic gaming monitor. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium which eliminates screen tearing and stuttering. They also employ LG Dynamic Action Sync that reduces frame buffering increasing responsiveness and minimizing input lag. There is also a Black Stabilizer that brightens dark screens. LG has also added a Crosshair for increased shooting accuracy and an on-screen Frame Per Second counter. The narrow bezel LG 27G610A-B IPS model has a 178 degree viewing angle both vertically and horizontally. It has (1) 1.4 DisplayPort, and (2) 2.1 HDMI ports (HDMI cables are not included) to which multiple devices can be attached simultaneously. It also has a Headphone Jack. Game play on this monitor is smooth and beautiful, after proper setup and tweaking. Make sure to download the complete User Manual from the LG site. Regular apps and streaming look fantastic. This is another finely designed and built product from LG. I don't think anyone but the most finicky will find anything lacking for their gameplay, especially at this pricepoint. I would highly suggest this LG UltraGear 27" Model 27G610A-B for my friends and family.

No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from LG Digital Customer Care
Posted .Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out about your LG Monitor (27G610A‑B) model. We understand the importance of having a display that performs consistently.
One helpful step you can try is performing a power reset by unplugging the monitor for about 30 seconds and plugging it back in. You can also test the monitor with a different HDMI or DisplayPort cable and, if possible, connect it to another device to confirm whether the issue persists. This helps determine whether the lines are coming from the panel or the signal source. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-27G610A-B.AUSQ. We’d appreciate the opportunity to look into this further for you. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com so our team can assist you directly. ^Juvy

Decent monitor for the price
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 27-inch QHD 200Hz monitor is one of those displays that just feels right when you start using it. The 1440p resolution looks sharp on a 27-inch screen, and the jump to 200Hz makes everything feel super smooth—especially if you play fast-paced games like shooters. The IPS panel is a big plus too, since colors look vibrant and consistent, so it’s not just good for gaming but also for everyday use or even some light creative work. That said, the HDR400 is kind of whatever—it’s there, but don’t expect anything mind-blowing in terms of contrast or brightness. Like most IPS monitors, blacks aren’t super deep either, especially in darker scenes. Also, no built-in speakers, so you’ll need your own audio setup. Overall though, it’s a really solid monitor that hits a nice balance between performance and visual quality without getting into crazy expensive territory.

Entry Level, LG Quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this LG UltraGear 27” Gaming Monitor is a basic, an essentially entry-level gaming monitor, it does the job. Visuals are rich; colors true-to-life. The 27” size screen is adequate for my own personal needs, and fits nicely on my desk setup. Overall, this monitor is well made; the stand being especially sturdy. It was easy to setup, too. There is a cord management ‘hole’ on the stand, which is quite handy as a gaming setup can get cluttered with cables, even with all the wireless peripherals and accessories gamers have available to them. This monitor’s screen surface itself appears ‘matte like,’ and in my opinion, doesn’t look as good as more ‘shiny looking’ screen surfaces. However, this type of appearance does cut down on visible glare, especially true if you have RGB lights or a lighted streaming setup on or around your desk. The 27” screen size somehow seems larger than it actually is, and during gameplay it provides a wonderful view of the in-game environment. This UltraGear monitor is highly adjustable. While in ‘landscape position’ the stand can move up and down, swivel side to side, tilt forward and back, and then can also be turned to a vertical position. Basically this monitor is simply “plug and play,” although an HDMI cable is not included. While there are display settings available via the monitor itself, you may need to go into your computer’s Display Settings to adjust the screen resolution, as I did, since the maximum resolution for this monitor is 2560x1400. There is an LG Switch App you can download from LG.com for more display customizations, but it’s not absolutely necessary and the monitor works without having that app. Overall, my impressions are favorable. So far I’m pleased with how this monitor performs. I did notice the fast refresh rate and low latency response during my gameplay sessions. This monitor fits my basic needs, just fine. Though for those seeking a ‘higher-end’ gaming monitor experience, you’re going to want to invest a bit more cost. This model LG UltraGear 27” Gaming Monitor is definitely “entry level.” But for its price point, it’s a good one.

Fast, Smooth, and Vibrant Gaming Monitor with Comp
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 27-inch IPS QHD 200Hz gaming monitor is an excellent choice for gamers who want sharp visuals and very smooth gameplay. The 2560×1440 resolution delivers clear, detailed images, while the IPS panel provides wide viewing angles and strong color accuracy with about 99% sRGB coverage. Its 200Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time help reduce motion blur and ghosting, making fast-paced games feel responsive and fluid. DisplayHDR 400 adds brighter highlights and improved contrast, which enhances both gaming and streaming visuals. Another strong feature is adaptive sync support, including AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, which helps prevent screen tearing and keeps gameplay smooth. The adjustable stand and slim-bezel design also make it comfortable for long sessions and easy to fit into most setups. Some limitations include HDR performance that is decent but not high-end and HDMI 2.0 ports that may not be ideal for certain console setups. Still, with solid image quality, fast performance, and strong gaming features, it’s a reliable mid-to-high-range monitor for competitive gaming, everyday use, and multimedia entertainment. If you want, I can also make it sound more formal, more student-style, or more like a customer review—just tell me

LG IPS 200 Hz monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Under $200 for a 200 Hz refresh rate and IPS seems to be working out well. No issues playing battlefield six no ghosting issues or anything that might cause an issue. Only critique I would have is the button on the monitor to get through the menu is a little funky takes a little bit to get used to it, but luckily I won’t be needing to get into that very often after an initial set up.

Great for business use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for use with my business computer. I have another monitor that is NOT "gaming" quality, and found that I was getting eye fatigue at the end of the day. This gaming monitor, however, has such good clarity and light quality that I don't experience eye fatigue with it. I also appreciate that I can have 3 different documents open at once on a single screen for comparing data (screen real-estate has always been a struggle for my type of work).

Great gaming monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is the perfect middle-ground for competitive and cinematic gaming. The resolution at 27 inches is the 'sweet spot' for pixel density, making text sharp and games detailed. The 200Hz refresh rate makes every game feel incredibly fast, and the IPS panel offers great color accuracy straight out of the box. I experienced minimal IPS glow, but the speed and brightness far outweigh that small drawback. It handles both my PC and PS5 well, with the HDMI support enabling 4K@120Hz on the console side. A solid buy for the price.

Fantastic upgrade!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have used it with several different computers in a short time, testing and working on the computers. Connected my Mac mini M4 pro by hdmi and got full 200hz at 1440p. On my other desk is a several year old Samsung 34in ultrawide 1440p at 75hz. The picture quality is night and day. Debating on another ultrawide or going back to dual monitor with 2 of these for my other desk. Going from vn panel to ips and higher refresh rate makes me wish I would have done this sooner. Price is hard to beat for what it is. Personally I would not go with a 1080p monitor and now after getting an ips and high refresh rate monitor I can not go back, and can not justify the cost of an oled monitor. This monitor seems to be the sweet spot!

Best gaming monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m honestly really impressed with this monitor. The picture quality is super sharp, colors look great, and everything feels smooth, especially while gaming. The refresh rate makes a huge difference — gameplay feels way more responsive and fluid compared to my old screen. Setup was quick and easy, and the build quality feels solid. No screen tearing, no weird issues, just a great experience overall. It’s perfect for gaming but also works great for schoolwork, videos, and everyday use. Definitely recommend this monitor if you’re looking for a solid upgrade. I’d buy it again without hesitation.

Stunning QHD clarity at a buttery 200Hz
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor punches well above its price. It's definitely an entry/beginner monitor for pc gamers. The IPS panel delivers gorgeous color and wide viewing angles, and the 2560x1440 resolution at 27" hits the sweet spot — crisp text and detail without forcing my GPU to its knees. The 200Hz refresh rate paired with 1ms GtG response makes fast-paced games feel incredibly smooth, with no noticeable ghosting or smearing in fast motion. DisplayHDR 400 isn't true HDR, but it adds a nice pop to highlights. Build quality is solid, the stand offers good height/tilt adjustment, and having both HDMI and DisplayPort made hookup effortless. Easily recommend this to anyone running a mid-to-high-end rig who wants high-refresh QHD without overpaying.

Solid Monitor if its on sale grab it
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great budget monitor but keep an eye out for sales it frequently drops nearly 50-70 bucks on special. On special its an amazing monitor at full price its still good value but its annoying to see it drop in price a week later. Good color quality and decent black colors without too much light bleed but I like that its 1440p at this price and refresh rate so cant complain.

Huge upgrade to 1080p 144hz
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a 144hz 1080p monitor and the difference is crazy. I went back to try my old monitor and it felt super fuzzy! The 200hz is smooth and the 2k resolution makes details really good. Mainly game on r6 siege and my response time and visibility is way better.
