A Game Changer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stepping into the realm of 1440p with the UltraGear monitor was like seeing my games in a whole new light. The vibrant colors and deep blacks, thanks to that IPS nanocell tech, had me questioning how I ever gamed without it. The monitor's stand might eat up some desk space, but that's a small price to pay for such quality. And oh, the smoothness! Whether I'm working or gaming, that refresh rate keeps everything crisp. Sure, I might miss having a USB-C port, but the performance more than makes up for it. For those about to make the leap to 1440p, this monitor's a no-brainer. High refresh rate, stunning visuals, and a price that doesn't scare your wallet? Count me in. Just remember, once you go UltraGear, there's no going back.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.just absolutely stunning. Upgrading from a 1080p 144hz to this 1440 165hz is night and day. The clarity and colors of this monitor out of the box are just beautiful. I am so happy I purchased this monitor. It just makes videos and games POP so much, I feel like I have been missing so much not having this monitor in my life sooner. I would highly recommend giving this monitor a shot if you are looking for a new one.

Great value and performance for years
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.***open box for 334, 365$ total after tax*** !!!so im basing my review off of that economic incentive I had initially purchased the liquidated Alienware AW2027HF for 350$ new after tax a 319$ sale price. Upon arrival for pickup i checked this monitor which was 399$ at the time new. Luckily the local store that had the alienware for pickup also had this very LG monitor for sale for 334$ open box, upon talking to a sales rep that was even willing to show me the condition which was spotless and essentially brand new....interestingly enough when i went to the will call service station to exchange the alienware for this LG. The employee that helped me there noted they also Owned the LG. Review aspects= use sRGB mode in the settings for almost everything... I enable FPS mode As an ease of use access with the quick menu keys. For Shooters purely bc the colors are more vibrant for games and offers "acceptable" contrast. Yet you cant enable "fastest" overdrive for added fastest response times possible with sRGB mode enabled its stuck to (fast) which is perfectly fine for AAA games PVE etc the colors are far more accurate and ideal for aspects where you wouldnt want an added competitive edge for shooters i guess. That being said fastest does have some overshoot/ghosting vs fast overdrive. Which i find negligable for games like cs:go/valorant/siege since im not really maxing out the image quality via i game settings as it is. I havent tested valorant at QHD as i had played go at 720 16:9, and valorant and siege at 1080p prior. I traded up to this bc i find QHD to be more ideal for all around gaming. 1080p 240hz would be nice for just cs/valorant/siege/overwatch but the cost investment of my system equates to gaming past 1080p for pve/mmo/arpgs etc. Great screen with various features, performs well. Great colors with the sRGB profile. Also this monitor offers zero ghosting or overshoot with the overdrive disabled for AAA games where your fps would definitely be below even 120fps/120hz. This panel can run adaptive sync with overdrive off for that kind of gaming for tear free ghost free fun. An example where sRGB mode is used for shooters would be in BFV on ultra where you may not have 165fps on 1440p with your system. Or even mine. That extra setting adds to the immersion vs putting BFV on low/min latency mode to thus fully enable g-sync....there is a noticible aspect to overdrive being on fastest. The ghosting is also an aspect of personal opinion....coming from a worse monitor in that regard....if youre comparing flaghsip 1440p to 1440p fast responsetime monitors i could understand some peoples gripes about paying upwards of 400$ and wanting true 1ms or sub 4ms resposne times ghost free. I plan on snagging an amd advantage strix laptop to see if i can sell my main system. As this monitor was a down size from 21:9

Great deal @$400 and you better put it in yoir car
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very sexy gaming monitor wothout anything flashy on the front where you're actually looking at. The stand is very sturdy and robust. Picture quality is amazing with high refreah rates. Just be sure you have the means to push the fps to achieve the 165hz on modern games. Anywhere from a 1660Super(for older games like BF4) to an RTX 2080Super or 3080 for Newer higher end titles. I got it for $400 on sale which it is often. And thats when I'd recommend getting it for $400, it's a great deal with many boxes checked off like IPS, 165HZ low response time with very good picture quality to nice build quality.

Greatness at a budget price
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So good my friend came and bought the same one based off of the quality. High refresh rate, color accuracy is high, hdr is better rating than most at this price point. Its not washed looking in hdr like the others ive seen. No where near the screen bleed either. Lg has got something going, this really seems to me like a $450 monitor with all the features. 2k is the sweet spot for most pcs as 4k is hard on the pc and hard to acheive the numbers for fps that would make going too much higher in price illogical. You'd need 2-3 grand on a pc set up to enjoy any higher quality than this can provide. But this is good for those set ups too as the fps would be much greater in 2k than in 4k.

On Sale - Highly Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to buy a new gaming monitor hence the cost but luckily there was a sale plus I had another monitor that I could return for a coupon. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The refresh rate isn't in the 240 mHz range but honestly I'm a more leisurely gamer who doesn't do a lot of PVP/FPS games. This is an excellent quality monitor with G-Sync for NVIDIA plus has plenty of different settings to maximize graphics and performance. I have a fairly shallow desk so didn't anticipate that this is not a very slim piece of a equipment once put together. The monitor itself is as you would expect a flat screen but once it's on the base, expect about 11.5" from front to back and the screen to be about 9.5" from the back edge of the base.

After a bit of tweaking the colors pop, and every detail is crystal clear. It's a game-changer from what I previously had, with its speedy refresh rate and resolution. Outstanding Gaming Monitor!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new gaming computer (Intel Core I-9 K-series 10900KF ten core @ 3.70 GHz with a NVDIA GeForce RTX 3060) and connected it to my Samsung 24"gaming monitor (purchased in 2012). Although I'm a casual gamer I was immediately extremely disappointed with the picture quality, color, shadows and shading. I realized my mistake that I needed a better gaming monitor to get the full potential my new gaming rig had to offer. A casual gaming neighbor had recently purchased the LG 27GP83B and said he was extremely satisfied with it considering the quality and price. On his recommendation I also purchased this monitor and WOW! The 165 Hz refresh rate out of the display port and 1 millisecond response time stopped the motion blur and ghosting I was encountering. The NVDIA G-Sync is a no-brainer with reduced screen tearing and no stuttering. Wide angle viewing is not an issue with the Nano IPS although I had considered a 32" curved screen. Picture quality is unreal; and my gaming scores have increased considerably in all of my 1st person shooters. My take away from this is; quality equipment equals quality gaming apparently. If you need to update your gaming monitor at a reasonable price with a lot of quality features then I recommend you give the LG27GP83B a try.

So great I bought a 2nd one
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 2nd of this monitor I have bought. I'm not a fan of the matte finish on monitors, but it works better for my lighting conditions. Even with the matte finish the picture and color is amazing for productivity and gaming.

Great monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great, well-rated monitor that can be had for a good price since its routinely discounted. Color accuracy is great, and it's a great size and resolution for a viewing distance of about an arm's length. Good for office work, video games, and light photo editing. VESA-compatible back also let me mount this directly on my monitor arms. 1 DisplayPort is a little disappointing - I'd rather have 2 DP and 1 HDMI instead of the reverse, but it's fine for my needs. Just something to keep in mind if you're input needs are different.
