All I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now I know why they can't keep this monitor in stock. Out of the box calibration is great. If you purchase this monitor do yourself a favor and go to RTing.com use this link and under ( post calibration ) you'll see a download for their ICC profile calibration. There are videos all over Youtube how to do this and it's very simple to do. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/lg/27gp83b-b. It's a great base to start from. After re calibrating the monitor with the ICC profile calibration and a little personal tweaking for personal preference this monitor it looks absolutely amazing. Some reviews I've read mention backlight bleed through issues. Either I got extremely lucky or LG fixed the issue because I have no noticeable bleed through issues at all. No dead pixels, uniform black throughout the screen. Monitor manufactured 4/21. HDMI limits you to 144 Hz. refresh rate which is more than sufficient. I have a Razer 14 with the RTX 3080 so unfortunately I'm limited to a single HDMI out. I highly modify and play GTA V. mostly and this monitor had definitely made it all the more immersive. I ordered this monitor a while back and had a time of shipping issue so I cancelled it. I'm glad I gave it a second try and this time no problems with shipping. I originally purchased this monitor at $449.99 and of course a day after the price dropped to $399.99. Best buy honored their Price Match Guarantee and refunded me the difference. My experience with Best Buy though out the years has always been excellent and I can't actually think of buying anywhere else unless it's for something they don't carry in stock.

One of the best 1440p monitors out
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this monitor as my main in a 2 monitor set up for over a year because of its picture quality, the IPS nanocell really makes for a much deeper color & blacks than my Acer predator w 240hz. Once you go 1440p you'll never go back! only caution I would throw with this monitor is that the stand is extremely bulky so you'll need a mount if you play keyboard and mouse

Great monitor!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s great monitor for the price. I use mine for work and for playing PS5 games. Has amazing refresh rate, and HDR which really makes a difference in the video quality. A con which I wish that this monitor did have is a USB C port, but there aren’t many monitors in the market at this time with it anyway.

Excellent LCD Monitor for Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor provides a beautiful, vibrant picture for gaming or anything else. The included stand is pretty big, but I love it because it's height adjustable and super easy to install and use. There are three inputs on this monitor (1 DisplayPort, 2 HDMI) and that's great because it keeps me from having to switch cables between all my devices. Input switching is automatic based on which device is turned on, but if you need to switch manually or access settings, there is a little control pad at the bottom that's pretty easy to use (just tilt it the direction you want, and press in). There are extra gaming features like FPS counter and crosshairs, which I don't really use, but of course, beyond those, you get the key features like FreeSync, the low response time, and the high refresh rate. As for resolution, this is a 1440p monitor, which to most people is going to be a truly fantastic picture quality—4K monitors will be sharper, but to get similar levels of game performance at that higher resolution, you'll be spending a lot more money than you would with this one. This monitor does have a headphone jack, located above the power cable (a bit hard to reach). It gets the job done for headphones, though I found that it did not output very loud if you use it to plug in speakers, which is my only disappointment with this monitor. I will also say, it's an LCD monitor, so if you play dark games, you might notice light on the edges of the screen. You'll want to consider moving up to an OLED monitor for improvements in that area. Overall though, this is a fantastic LCD monitor that I love using.

BEST QHD Monitor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent monitor, previously I had a Dell 27in 165hz QHD monitor, I sold my monitor and gaming pc with a GTX 1660S and bought a Samsung 1080p 240hz monitor and a PC with 3060ti and I had to return the monitor, once you go to QHD you dont want to go back to FHD. The Dell QHD is 499 and this monitor was 350 and thank god I got this one. Personally I like the 165hz QHD better than 1080p 240hz, not a huge difference in smoothnes but a big diference in visuals!! So I really Love this monitor :)

Great purchase for the price! I do not regret!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome Product for the price! Sounds highly recommend! I’ve experienced no problems so far. I do use it heavily for editing & streaming (Final Cut, photoshop, obs studio, Streamlabs obs), as well as gaming (Xbox series S). 4K looks great, it handles 4k gaming pretty good not the greatest but still good. Other than that I’d definitely recommend.

Awesome gaming monitor.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying, I am no computer monitor expert. In fact, this is the first computer monitor I’ve owned that’s not a 1080p 60hz basic monitor 24” or less. That being said, I do have really nice TV’s including an OLED so I do know what a good picture should look like. In my hunt, I’ve purchased and returned 4 monitors before this with 2 of them being 4k and two 1080p, so this is my first experience with 1440p. I have to say, at 27” 1440p is the perfect resolution. It doesn’t tax my GPU as much so I can hit 165fps on ultra settings (I have a 4090) no problem on almost any game. It’s bright, which is a big plus for me, though the HDR is nothing to write home about. The colors don’t feel washed out and with the high refresh rate, everything is butter smooth. There’s is what people call “IPS glow” on black screens, but it’s not noticeable 95% of the time. One note though, IPS glow is not light bleed. Light bleed is really annoying and can be noticeable most of the time, but this monitor doesn’t have noticeable light bleed. If you’re looking for a good gaming monitor under $400 (only get it if on sale under $400, I wouldn’t recommend it for more than that) then this one should work fine for you. If you looking for a monitor for movie/photo editing and watching 4k HDR content, then this probably isn’t going to work for you.

Q: QuestionCan this Monitor overclock to 180Hz ??
Asked by Monkey101.
- A:Answer Hey there, No this monitor can only be overclocked to 165hz. The monitor you are most likely referring to is the LG Ultragear 27GP850, which at the time of making this answer is not available on Best Buy. In fact, this monitor, the LG Ultragear 27GP83B, is a variant of that monitor without the 180hz and USB ports…

Q: QuestionWhat's the HDR standard 400, 500? I look forward to its release I saw late April earlier answered on this Q&A??? Unless I'm confusing another Q&A? I'm certain I am not, I remember the awesome specs/make, no other 1440p 27' LG gaming monitor top its hz's!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer HDR “standard” is 400 nits but simply not bright enough. VESA Display HDR 600 and up is better but we’re talking edge lit IPS panels here so temper expectations.

Q: QuestionSo even at a lower resolution now that Ps5 had a 1440 p update can a Ps5 ever hit higher than 60 frames on this monitor
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yeah, the PS5 can output 120hz to this monitor, but only with certain games. It’s up to the game developers to give the games the 120hz support, but the PS5 is totally capable of outputting 120hz at 1440p to this monitor. Borderlands 3 and Warzone run very well, there’s some other games that support it that I haven’t tried yet.
