    I have an old 27GN850-B, and wanted to buy a second QHD monitor. The old monitor has a listed brightness of 350 nits, while this 27GP83B-B has a listed brightness of 400. I checked a professional review at Rtings, and they confirmed that this monitor has higher brightness in both SDR and HDR mode. However, when I put these two monitors side by side, the 27GN850-B is much, much brighter. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'm not going to return it because brightness seems like something that would be difficult to prove.

    I had a ASUS Rog Swift before this monitor. Very similar in monitors. The fast and faster(1ms) in response time are great. I don't know why under vivid that the 1ms option is grayed out. Besides that it's a great monitor. I don't know if I'm a fan of HDR. Maybe it depends on the game but it's nice to have the choice. The only bad thing is when I feel lazy and not use my headphones. This monitor doesn't have internal speakers. I knew that before buying. The quality of everything else is just that good for when this monitor is around 400. Great color and no dead pixels on arrival.
