Great OLED Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As others have said, text readability can kind of be an issue but I've gotten used to it I think. Others have complained about it not being glossy but I don't really understand that complaint and would rather have my monitors more antiglare (which this one definitely is). I was expecting to turn on HDR and have all the colors instantly pop but I've found it requires a bit more configuring and also is very dependent on the image/game being displayed. Now for the good - this the best monitor I've ever owned. The blacks are incredibly black and the colors really shine in most of the games I play. I've also had no issues with screen tearing thanks to the great adaptive sync support options. I love being able to configure settings with the included remote too. Very happy with my purchase and absolutely worth it when it's on sale.

Punches way above its class!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is basically the 27GS95QE without RGB lights but for $600 on sale instead of $900. Buy it now! I cross compared this panel against every OLED monitor up to $1500 on rtings and it went toe to toe and excelled in every way possible. Cant wait to re experience my favorite games! P.S. VRR flicker is unavoidable on any monitor but as long as your fps arent bouncing up and down in dark areas you'll never see it!

Best Budget OLED Gaming Monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS… Is the LG Ultragear UHD OLED 240hz with .03 GTG response. To be honest, I was really excited to get this as it really checks several boxes while also being in a more reasonable price range ~$600. It seems that there finally a really good 1440p OLED panel that's also high refresh rate (240hz) on the market, so lets take a look! Unboxing the monitor, I am enamored by just how thin the sides of the monitor are! This is not my first oled, but I am always blown away by just how thin they are on the sides. The build quality is exceptional as well, and you can tell this is on the premium side of monitors (it IS still $600). I was also really pleased to see that it came with a remote, this is the first monitor I have gotten with one and to be honest I will take this over trying to find the buttons on the back, bottom or side of the monitor and then also trying to remember which button is which without turning it off. The stand is great, however, I am team wall mount so onto my mount it went (standard vesa mount). I am also replacing an LG 4k monitor so I was able to use the same power cable, and man is the power brick big! Turning on the monitor I was initially almost let down, but stick with me here for a second. My previous monitor was a regular panel 4k monitor… so it isn't as sharp and it certainly is less bright! That being said, as I booted up cyberpunk (my current addiction) all my thoughts melted away. The blacks are so… BLACK! The colors pop, the contrast is fantastic and the accuracy is sooo much better than where I was coming from. While my FPS did not really go up in cyberpunk (poor optimization), almost all my other games did and man… 200hz+ is so nice. At 250 candela, the monitor isn’t too bright, but it is certainly bright enough in games and in general usage. Something I wanted to touch on was the coating on the screen, it isn’t gloss… which was almost a thorn in my side, but given the low CD/M2, I do enjoy it. My monitor doesn’t have a window facing it, but I do have a TV over my shoulders that would glare so I really do appreciate the textured screen over the gloss. I would give a note that you should exercise your return window should you have a nasty glare as I am not sure the screens brightness is enough to overcome bright or direct sunlight without curtains. I just want to go over these honestly god tier specs before I move on, QHD, .3ms GTG, OLED with 240hz and G-sync compatible... WOW 2016 me would never believe where we have gotten to at such a decent price. The only real gripe I have on the monitor is that, while it claims to have razer thin edges (it does), the border around the screen is almost a quarter of an inch which is honestly more than I was expecting. While a headache, this is not a deal breaker for me and just something I have gotten use to. This monitor also has a minor chin on it that sticks down in the middle of the monitor, so if you have anything below your monitor you might want to make sure it all fits before moving forward. To wrap this up, this is genuinely one of the best ‘budget’ options for an OLED panel and until micro led comes around, this is absolutely the best you can get. Yes there is qd-oled and yes there is brighter oled’s out there, but they are almost double the price and 4k screens really aren’t realized at higher refresh rates due to the GPU demand. I have a 4080 and on the highest settings I was around 80-100fps, whereas with this screen I am always north of 180fps AND it is genuinely a better experience. This is why I love bestbuy though, they have tons of monitors out playing games and are often times hooked up to a PC so you can test it before you buy. That being said, Best Buy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so there is no harm in testing it out!

Perfect OLED Monitor other than some VRR Flicker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 27GS93QE-B OLED gaming monitor is a 27” 240Hz 1440p monitor with a 03ms gray to gray response time. It comes with a remote, HDMI and Display Port cable, power supply and cable, USB-B to USB-A cable, and lots of quick start and warranty guides. It features 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 5Gbps ports, a USB-B port for the data transfer from your PC, 1 Display Port 1.4 and 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, and a 3.5mm audio out jack and Optical Audio out. It also features 8, 10, and 12 bit color. The monitor looks and feels extremely well built and, in my opinion, looks more professional than most gaming-oriented monitors with the lack of RGB and a tasteful dark gray, silver and black color way. It weighs in at 17 pounds, measures 24” across and 12” deep with the included stand. The monitor can raise and lower and tilt up and down on the included stand. However, it can only be rotated in into portrait mode counterclockwise, which means the inputs will always be on the right side of the stand. The monitor does include a clip that attaches to the sand to route your cables a bit cleaner. It has a 100x100 VESA mount for those of you who want to mount it on a monitor arm. The monitor has a matte finish on the screen. This is to help combat glare, and it does a good job. Some people complain matte finishes make the images darker, and while that is valid, I cant say I had any problems seeing the monitor regardless of light in the room, short of shining a flash light or direct sunlight on it. The monitor has a peak brightness of 271 nits which is well below good IPS displays that push 400 nits. I can’t say I was bothered by this like I thought I would be. 100% brightness on this monitor is still brighter than what I used on my IPS and it still can get eye searingly bright in dark rooms. This monitor is great at motion performance, with very little motion blur and no screen tearing when set up properly. I used everything from Blur Buster’s UFO test to games as easy to run as CSGO to heavy hitters like Cyber Punk 2077 so try and get the screen to tear and blur with very little success. Some people are more susceptible to it than others, an I didn’t notice tearing or street lamps and other straight up and down objects in FortNite and the helicopter blades in Battlefield 2042. On PC and with an NVIDIA GPU I was able to eliminate it completely by turning Adaptive Sync on in the monitor menu, turning Ultra Low Latency and Variable Refresh Rate on in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and turning off my refresh rate cap and any VRR settings in each game. This is recommended in the industry and it does really work. I can’t speak to users with an AMD Radeon GPU on how to fix this, but I imagine it is a similar adjustment. The Variable Refresh Rate flicker is another matter. VRR allows your monitors refresh rate to match the frame rate of your computer or console in an effort to reduce screen tearing. While it does a good job at eliminating screen tearing (again when properly set up), the VRR causes very bad flickering that you can notice. It is mostly when frame rates are unstable, and most noticeable in loading screens. It looks cheap and looks terrible. This is unfortunately a problem with OLED displays in general and not just the LG UltraGear. However, other monitor brands like Samsung have ways of reducing this issue. I wish LG did as well. When in game however I have yet to notice the flickering, even when really looking for it, but your mileage may vary. Your other option is to run with Adaptive Sync turned off and put up with possible screen tearing. The colors on this monitor are absolutely beautiful and the blacks are bottomless. Just like an OLED TV you may own or have seen in Best Buy, the colors and blacks are the stars of an OLED screen. I thought my IPS monitor looked good but this LG blows it out of the water. As good as the colors are it really is the blacks and the pure contrast that just shines. It makes things look so much better that its almost like everything is a new game again. I was blown away by the explosions and the depths of oceans. It just kept getting better. LG is doing its best to make sure your new OLED screen lasts and doesn’t burn in. The monitor has Screen Move, which will shift static images by a few pixels every now and then to help reduce the risk of burn-in. After four or more hours of continuous use, Image Cleaning will turn on with the monitor turns off or goes into stand-by. It takes about 10 minutes to complete. It can be interrupted if need be. Then after every 500 hours of use, Pixel Cleaning will turn on once the monitor is turned off or goes into stand-by. It takes about a minute to complete. All these are automatic so you don’t have to worry about remembering to do any of the maintenance. LG also gives the monitor a 2 year warranty, and if you wish you can get an extra 4 year extended warranty at Best Buy as well. The only thing I would do differently to a normal IPS or VA monitor is if using a PC, turn “Hide the Taskbar” on so its not hanging out at the bottom of your screen all day. Something worth mentioning is the remote. It is intuitive and easy to use, has programmable presets to go from web browsing to gaming and I actually found myself using it more than dealing with the menu button on the monitor. My only complaint is I wish it used AAA batteries instead of a coin battery. I have multiple LG products, and they all use those stupid, expensive coin batteries. Other than that, I love the remote. Aside from the finicky VRR flicker that I was able to adjust out for the most part, I have not come across any issues. The monitor is well built and looks great with a blacked out media PC, and RGB gaming behemoth, or a gaming console. The OLED performance is fantastic and no noticeable motion blur. If you are in the market for a high-end OLED gaming monitor, I would certainly recommend you check the UltraGear 27GS93QE-B out. I’m glad I did.

Great gaming monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're in the market for a high-performance gaming monitor that combines breathtaking visuals with lightning-fast performance, the LG UltraGear 27" OLED is a great contender. This gaming monitor is designed for those who demand the best in both image quality and responsiveness, and it delivers on all fronts. Stunning Visuals with OLED Technology The most striking feature of the LG UltraGear is its OLED display. The VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification means it’s capable of reproducing the deepest blacks and the most vibrant colors, creating a truly immersive gaming experience. Whether you're battling through dark, intense scenes or basking in the bright glow of a victory, the 1.5M:1 contrast ratio ensures every detail pops off the screen. The OLED technology is perfect for gaming, as it produces rich blacks and deep contrasts that make every scene feel more cinematic. With up to 98.5% DCI-P3 color coverage, the colors are not just bright—they're gorgeous. The color accuracy is superb, making it a great choice not only for gaming but also for content creators who need accurate, vivid colors for their work. Blazing Fast Performance When it comes to gaming, speed matters—and the LG UltraGear OLED delivers with 240Hz refresh rate and an incredible 0.03ms response time. This is nearly instantaneous performance, ensuring you’re never a frame behind in competitive games. The ultra-fast refresh rate means smoother gameplay, with less ghosting and lag, while the 0.03ms response time ensures every click, every movement, is executed instantly. The anti-glare and low reflection properties of the OLED screen help minimize distractions from ambient light, keeping your focus entirely on the game. Whether you’re playing in a well-lit room or in the dark, this monitor handles reflections with ease, making it perfect for any setup. This did come with a stand but I opted not to use it and use my own desk arms and it mounted up quickly and easily. Connectivity Options The monitor is equipped with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, allowing you to connect the monitor to your gaming PC or console with ease. Both of these connections support the 240Hz refresh rate, ensuring you're getting the most out of your display. The monitor also has a 4-pole headphone jack, which is convenient for gamers who want to combine their headset’s microphone and stereo signal. Final Verdict The LG UltraGear 27" OLED is a powerhouse of a gaming monitor, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for one!

Excellent OLED gaming monitor at a reasonable pric
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG UltraGear 27” OLED monitor has an impressive list of specs and some nice features. Included in the box are the following: HDMI cable, display port cable, power supply (a large brick) and even a remote control. The design of the monitor is nice, I like that the monitor can be rotated easily and the height adjustable stand. Connections on the monitor include HDMI and display port inputs, 3.5mm and optical for audio output. Overall the monitor looks nice and feels sturdy. There isn’t much of a physical frame around the monitor, but the black border is a bit over ¼”, I’ve seen thinner The included remote makes changing settings a breeze! A bit more intuitive to use the typical up/down, left/right buttons on a monitor. Performance: This is where this monitor shines. Spec wise, this monitor is pretty much the same as the 27GS95QE, but without the fancy RGB lighting on the back. I plan to use this monitor for gaming, watching movies occasionally as well as schoolwork. Playing games on this over the past few days has been a game changer from my previous monitor (not a gaming monitor). With the 240Hz refresh rate, the games I’ve thrown at it so far (C.O.D, Grand Theft Auto and Valorant) has been very smooth, I haven’t noticed any motion blur or ghosting. I found the OLED colors to be very good, dark levels in my “goto” test movie, Batman Returns are very dark. In some dark scenes, you can see some of the details. But in other movies, animations such as Toy Story, the colors are vibrant and rich. This makes perfect sense, as LG is the leader in OLED TV’s! The one potential downside of OLED is they are still suspectable of burn in, be sure to use the screen saver and screen move. Conclusion: Overall, I’m very happy with this monitor. It’s a very good-looking gaming monitor with great specs at a reasonable price!

Gaming to the max, clunky stand.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This OLED monitor has been a superb addition to my gaming set up. The responsiveness and display quality has been something that I have not seen in many monitors. The 16:9 ratio is a must for most gamers and paring that with the G synch assures that the output is running flush with all other outputs. From a graphic standpoint this monitor is amazing, its OLED display is very nice on the eyes. This OLED monitor pumps out some major bright colors while keeping the dark (black color/pixels) extremely dark, its edge was nearly impossible to see where it ends. From a build standpoint, the build itself is good. The monitor is extremely thin, but the back section located near the base is a tad clunky. There are plenty of inputs and outputs on this monitor so there was never any worry from that point. The stand was one thing that I do not care too much for, even though this is purely cosmetic and if you choose to mount it this becomes a moot point. The stand is not very pretty. That said, its the only small downfall of this product. It has a covering piece that is provided to hide its messy construction and is wider than it should be. The base of the stand could have been heavier and narrower to reduce desk room needed. All in all, from a display standpoint this monitor is amazing, the OLED is a must have for those gamers. The stand is a bit cumbersome but not a complete deal breaker if you choose to mount.

Excellent OLED Monitor as long as the Remote works
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Very good picture quality for entry-level OLED at the price point. Great for high refresh rate media consumption Perfect size Cons: The major one is the requirement for a remote. If for some reason your remote doesn't work (like mine stopped doing randomly) or you just don't have it, you lose 90% of the functionality. I don't know what bright engineer they had designing this, but without the remote you can't do anything other than turn it off, change the input, and change the volume. No access to any other settings whatsoever. And the "monitor control" you can get on a computer is basically useless as well. LG support is also just as useless, since it took 5 different "agents" to run me through basic troubleshooting any 10 year old in 2025 could do themselves before finally sending me a new remote. I have yet to receive it but, it's better than sending in the whole monitor.

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was initally worried when i got the monitor but some quick settings chnages and its great. Intense screen flicker with g-sync enabled so turn that off. Then perform an image cleaning and pixel cleaning care task in order to remove any pixel or vertical line issues on the OLED display. Ans you will love it! Also make sure pc frames are set to 240 of course.

AMAZING MONITOR BUT...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was easy, beautiful display but i was confused to why it had white lines flickering across the screen, was really worried it was a bad display, to found out that it was the NVIDIA bitrate settings that was causing it, kinda wish windows adjusted it for you but for me i had to fix it through the settings, BUT OTHER THEN THAT , ITS A AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL OLED MONITOR, definitely beats IPS and VA panels, 240 hz is definitely enough to do anything for your needs

||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW! After spending a few days with it, I can say how amazing this monitor is. Coming from an LG IPS display, the colors, clarity, and response time on this monitor is incredible. I have read several reviews complaining about the matte finish, and I personally do not see an issue with it. The text fringing is fixable by tweaking your clear type settings. Took some time to get it all set up the way I like it, and I'm never going back to LCD! This is the same panel as the other LG OLED, just without the RGB. I did think it would take some getting used to having a remote instead of the toggle button, but I prefer it now. If your on the fence about spending the money on this, its worth it!
