I'm not a display expert or snob, I'm a very average consumer that just wanted the best. This monitor ticked all of the boxes but is just so dim that my 8-year-old backlit VA panel monitor outperformed it in brightness.
Sure, this monitor is as fast as it gets and is noticeably faster than the 144Hz 5ms that I referenced earlier (hence why I was trying to upgrade). The colors are great, but nothing *pops* in this monitor.
I actually searched for a long time to see if there was some ambient light control or something that was dimming the display. The fact of the matter is this monitor is just dim. I'm writing this review currently on this monitor and I would associate the brightness of this white Best Buy background with my phone being at its lowest setting at night.
I know some people will praise this monitor. I will not, I'll give the Asus ROG OLED PG27AQDM a shot as many are saying it can be upwards of 40% brighter.
Even at the discount I got this monitor at ($869), I am not going to keep it. If this monitor were $500, I might understand that, but still would not buy it. All in all, not a very impressive experience.

Coming from an LG C1 55 inch for gaming, I changed my gaming room and wanted a smaller monitor for gaming but I knew it was gonna have to be an OLED. I knew this was the new thing on the block with a 240 Hz and went for it immediately and let me tell you I was disappointed instantly. You can def see it’s an oled screen with beautiful colors but the brightness was terrible and above that the fact that it doesn’t have a glossy finish really killed that picture quality for me and took away the clarity and popping colors you normally see on an oled. I have no idea why they have a matte finish on a oled screen it’s like putting a sticker on a Ferrari. I’m giving it a 2 because I did notice the higher frame rate when playing FPS but mostly I play RPGs and story driven games and todays games have incredible graphics that I really enjoy and this screen was taking that experience really down. I am returning it and will go for an LGC2

Totally unsuitable for office and creative tasks with the horrendously low brightness, as well as burn-in risk even with the aggressive mitigation settings. Very good for media consumption, but would strongly recommend a mini-LED instead for the price range.

I was skeptical about buying this monitor. You need to update the firmware which takes a bit. Brightness is fine had to turn it down to 80% when the sun went down it was more tgan bright enough during the day and i have it right in front kf a window. It was stuck at 4k 120hz until it uodated. If your on the femce and have the cash. Do it. Best monitor you can get right now. So smooth colors pop picture is amazing you won’t regret it.

i wanted to like this monitor but is not much better than my Alienware 25inch monitor, not at 700 dollar difference the gap is not huge at all, also its dimmer than my AW2521hf 1080p that it was release in 2020. I say its more of a luxury and you dont mind spending $1000 its a smooth display but not for that amount of money

I love this monitor. The colors are excellent, refresh rate is excellent, ULTRA low response times, and the monitor feels high quality (as it should for the price). Obviously, the major draw back of this monitor is $$$, but if it is in your budget or you can get an open box (as I did) PULL THE TRIGGER.

Excellent monitor! its an OLED so colors are very rich, lots of picture adjustments available. Not ideal for someone who is mainly web-surfing and reading articles because the letting does get kind of fuzzy with it being an OLED. Perfect for consuming content, video / pic editing and ESPECIALLY GAMING!!! If you have the PC specs to push the pixels.

I cant say much about this monitor. It just looks and performs unbelievable well. Had 0 issues so far. The rgb lightning is a plus. As some say, the monitor is not very bright but for me it is enough. The remote control makes adjustments very easy.

Is this monitor going to automatically look incredible right out of the box? No, probably not. But if you take a few minutes to play with the colors and whatnot, make sure to turn on the anti-burn-in options, and learn that HDR is sometimes better turned off than on, then oh baby you got a great monitor for... An exorbitant price but that's how it goes.

The motion and low latency are noticable to me, on my ps5 theres noticable clarity and motion clarity despite lower frame rates, despite being only 2k compared to 4k i think it looks just as good if not better in some ways. Issues i had were black crush issues tgat can be helped through adjustments, while i would like a bit more brightness i dont seem to have an issue with it myself

The first one I got had a single pixel that wasn't producing any green or blue images right out of the box. I may not have noticed had I not done an RGB (sub pixel layout) screen test when I first used it. Returned it immediately and received a new one about a week later that has worked perfectly. With that aside I'll just cut to the chase. This is hands down one the best monitors that money can buy right now. I see a lot of other reviews saying that it's a great monitor but not worth the money and I have to completely disagree. For what you're getting with this monitor, $1,000 is absolutely a reasonable price. The near instantaneous response times, per pixel dimming for excellent HDR performance, a solid and stylish design, all in a 1440p 240hz package at 27", makes this the perfect gaming monitor for me. A lot of people also say this monitor is "too dim". In my opinion the HDR brightness is great for an OLED and the SDR brightness isn't bad either. I will note that I constantly game in a dark room, although I have tested the brightness with the lights on in my room and I didn't seem to have any issues with how bright it gets in either HDR or SDR mode. The only negative I can really see in this monitor is that the unusual sub pixel layout (RWBG) causes Microsoft Windows desktop application text to look a bit blurry. In my opinion you shouldn't be using an OLED monitor primarily as a productivity monitor. This monitor is ment for gaming, and in that arena it easily surpasses any other monitor I've ever used.

It was a great minute, but the unit i purchased would constantly flicker. The only resolutions i had available were to either exchange it or send it in for an RMA. I opted for the exchange. HDR is great and the response times are amazing. I only wish it was in 4k, instead of 1440p. :)

Awesome monitor, picture quality is great and the color and blacks loom amazing! One thing to nite mine had what looked like some image retention in the form of vertical lines when veiwing a gray or blaxk background, but after running the screen saver amd having it do it every time the screen goes to sleep I’ve not seen them again.
