Not good for text/surfing the web or word document
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not good for text/surfing the web etc. Not crisp or bright. Awful for using microsoft word. Also the functionality is not very good with the screensaver randomly turning the screen off and no easy way to change it.

Meh... not impressed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not like this monitor =( It was a major letdown for me. =( I really love LG products but this one was just.... meh. It was very dull and the 1440p looked terrible compared to 4k. Luckily bestbuy let me trade this in for an LGc2 and im way way way happier with that.

I'd just get a C2 or DWF if you want OLED
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The one I got was defective with major banding issues. It's a panel lottery thing I guess, but I'd never buy again. I've had other oled monitors without this issue, but I'm 0/2 on these.

Faulty out of the box
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second LG display that had failed on me, given the other was a 42” LG C2. Thankfully I had the foresight to get GeekSquad coverage, the LG C2 was a nightmare to return directly to LG.

Disappointing Service
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Products great - dont drive home without checking for a remote. OLED never disaappoints
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrade from a 32"curved QHD 165hz dell. The upgrade is amazing. OLED produces the absolute best in picture quality. 240hz plus OLED's near zero response time makes your mouse feel like an extension of your body. As far as the "brightness" nitpicking. It is of almost zero consequence, i use the monitor in a dimly lit room mostly, but occasionally use it during daylight hours and have no problems with screen brightness, seems like a point a competitor might try to dig fingers into. The only caveat woth OLED is the game and movie industry standard of graywashing everything, most TV's and monitors cannot produce a black that is devoid of light, so most blacks appear gray, content has been made to fit this at times, so when OLED is used content can appear off, our games and streaming apps need an "OLED mode" so the true color reproduction can be used, this isnt always an issue.but if you keep your gamma aetting from a TN or VA or IPS panel then switch to use an OLED, things will look bad. Adjustment is needed due to the graywashing. This monitor is expensive, but i personally dont mind helping monitor technology progress. New panels and tech like this don't just happen, they require consumer buy in. I for one am sold.

Life’s Good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a proud owner of a glossy LG 4K OLED Dolby Vision TV, I am grateful to finally see a matte LG 1440p OLED HDR10 monitor that’s made for gaming, with 240hz 0.03ms GTG Free/G-Sync to provide silky smooth gameplay. The matte screen & max brightness will be more than enough for an eSports gamer sitting centered in front of the monitor. After all, isn’t that what this monitor is made for? If you want glossy screen, higher brightness & Dolby Vision, then use a TV as a monitor? I’m sure the matte screen is to protect your eyes, anti-glare for any gaming environment & brightness isn’t as high to help with screen/image burn, or eye burn for that matter. Everything criticized for this monitor, is not a problem for a true gamer & for what you get, it’s laughable.

Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome display, purchased it to go along side my LG C2 48" OLED and it matches perfectly in portrait mode. I was concerned about the matte finish and brightness, however neither of these are an issue. The screen gets more than bright enough and the colors are rich including the inky blacks. The RGB on the back is a nice touch and I really like the remote, it makes customizing so much easier. Thinking about buy-in g a second one for the other side of my C2.

My first OLED gaming monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So having an OLED TV from LG, I have always been very happy with the performance and picture quality, figured when I saw the LG - UltraGear 27" OLED QHD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC come out I would give it a try. Unpacking the monitor was painless and the unique wide “V” shaped stand was easy to attach. I have two systems I was going to use that monitor with, an ASUS ROG gaming laptop which has a dedicated Nvidia GPU capable of 4k 120hz video and a Lenovo Desktop with AMD Radeon capable of 4k 60hz. This unit comes with a separate remote which is key in controlling the monitor and tweaking the plethora of configuration settings. Initial impressions, OLED technology is key in being able to produce deep blacks, very similar to what I remember from Plasma TV technology. This was obvious when viewing any content with dark areas with contrast that is very visually appealing. At first I was looking to remove a protective coating or film from shipping, but there was not any. The screen has a matte film applied to it, ensuring that there is no reflection or glare like glossier screens or monitors. View from off center or the side doesn’t really decrease brightness or contrast. Image quality is awesome when playing video, HDR mode also worked well although lack of brightness hobbled that a bit. Gameplay was equally impressive with no lagging or ghosting, ACE Combat looked awesome with no banding. Frankly gaming is where this monitor really shines. However where this monitor less than impressive was when displaying any type of text, smaller text was jagged and generally noticeably less clear than a standard LED backlit monitor. OLED technology is not known for lighting up a room, some would almost consider this monitor being a little dim, certainly next to my standard 4k monitor. As for connections, this monitor has a single DisplayPort and two HDMI 2.1 ports, Headphone Out 4-pole (Sound+Mic), USB 3.0 Up-stream, USB Down-stream Yes (2ea/ver3.0), Optical out (SPDIF) and a hefty power supply/brick. The stand will allow the monitor be swiveled 90 degrees along with sliding mechanism on the stand to raise or lower it, I did find that the stand did not really get low enough, but I wound up placing in on an lower shelf adjacent my desk. The monitor also has lighting on the back which is configurable to display a combination of colors or a scan through different ones on a cycle. I did occasionally have issues with this connecting to my systems, with the auto input detect being inconsistent, or the monitor would be in pixel cleaning mode, which with OLED monitors is needed. OLED monitors can burn in with content on portions of the screen if that image stays static for a period of time, thus this monitor will power the display off when not used (or image changed) in five minutes. The monitor also has a pixel shifting mode which helps prevent burn-in, this shift is not visibly noticeable. As for color reproduction, this monitor is not really calibrated well and takes some tweaking, the preset modes seemed to be a bit off to tell you the truth. I may be able to calibrate the monitor a bit better, you can download LG’s Calibration Studio. Pros: - Deep dark colors, this is where OLED excels during video playback and gaming (especially those with dark themes and locals). - Stylish stand and monitor which can be swiveled 90 degrees - Up to 240hz refresh rate, not lagging or ghosting. - Remote control - Matte screen film, leads to next to zero glare or reflection. Cons: - will display 3840 x 2160 but its native resolution is 2560 x 1440. - HDR performance is mediocre. - had difficulty connecting at time to my systems. - At times when using for work, the display would “breath” sometimes getting dimmer and brighter, in addition text is not sharp - Only has a 2-year warranty, may be a concern as OLEDs are susceptible to burn in.

Dont believe everyones reviews from here
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The monitor is a excellent gaming monitor. I say dont believe everythijg you read here in the reviews because i see several reviews talking over and over how good the 4k resolution looks on a OLED screen. The problem is, this IS NOT A 4K MONITOR!!! ITS A 1440P screen. That being said, the picture is beautiful, and being that the screen is so small, you would be hard pressed to really notice the difference, and your pc will perform alot better running games at 1440p instead of 2160p.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is excellent! I have been gaming and watching tons of YT videos on this. Absolutely will blow you away if coming from LCD 1080p screen I was playing before. Well worth the money. This is way cheaper now than when I bought it for over 1k. Hope this helps.
