After owning an OLED TV having this OLED monitor is perfect for my PC set up and quality is good.

With so many OLED monitors out there from every manufacturer having a dizzying array of lines it's hard to know where to start. LG has been making OLED screens for a good while now. So it seems like a safe bet to look to them. First thing I noticed was that the GS93 was not too heavy which was nice to see (or hold while in the box). When I got the box open I took notice on how thin the body of the screen was which makes it look similar to their larger screen OLED TVs which I always liked. The stand is put together like many other stands and clipped right into the vesa mount and again being so light was easy to carry to my desk. The boomerang foot print will take up some awkward space on your desk (at least for me), but it does offer a stable base for the monitor and as long as you have a good desk it will keep the screen from wobbling. Range of motion is kind of limited as it doesn't appear to swivel at all. But it can stand pretty tall height wise since it can be turned into portrait mode, however, that angle seems a bit trivial which I will touch on later. My first con with this monitor will have to be the single button on this monitor that will control the OSD. The included remote will make navigating the OSD much easier, but between having it floating around on the desk and having to need to change the CR2025 battery down the line make it seem like an unnecessary hassle that would not need to exist had they stuck with their joystick button which have always been fairly easy to use on their past monitors. IF the remote attached to the back of the monitor or even integrated into the stand somewhere with a magsafe type charger that also kept it wirelessly charged, that would've been epic. A second gripe would be the power brick which I have been seeing is becoming the norm with monitors that are slimmer but still thick. No onboard speakers on this monitor but there is a 3.5mm headphone jack which is convenient but will not be used by myself. No dead pixels out of the box which is among the first thing I look for, but I have been relatively fortunate in my years dealing with LCD/OLED screens. I prefer matte screens because I have a window directly behind me which during the day is glare city, but I do understand that matte screens will take away from some of the beauty of the colors that OLED offers. But for gaming this monitor has been very pleasing to my eyes. Flicker free and buttery smooth. No tearing and extremely responsive. 240hz seems like overkill but there are 360hz monitors now, but I'm not sure how much of that jump I'd discern. Blacks are black with no blooming around bright objects on the screen. Watching movies and games on the LG OLED are satisfying to me even with the matte surface and great brightness. Text on the other hand is my final con with this monitor. Black text on white background is a bit sloppy and not crisp. White text on a dark background fairs better. But the latter makes me think my eyes are not focused. This monitor doesn't appear to well suited for office duty. Viewing angles are excellent which is good since there is essentially no swivel unless pivoting the boomerang. At $600 price point this UltraGear is not a terrible choice for a 240hz 1440p OLED gaming monitor with GSync. Shave off some more maybe near Black Friday and it is a great choice for sure!

Great monitor! If you’re using HDR. After calibration with windows (0 on 1st screen/400 on the next 2… 400 nits is max!) use Nvida settings and turn contrast to 60. Then use task scheduler to disable windows auto adjust (Look it up on youtube). Perfect for gaming.

Gloss screen and screen quality is so good even in sunlight.

I have a ps5 pro and I could tell a big difference compared to my old monitor instantly. Great quality and very consistent with the frames. Just wish it supported allm.
