quick and easy to hook up to my TV. The picture quality is better than the regular blue ray player we had, probably due to some upscaling. And the 4k disc's are awesome.

BLACK IS BETTER AND LOW LIGHT IMAGE IS MUCH BRIGHTER. CONTROLLER IS QUICK. RECOMMEND SECOND CONTROLLER FOR USE OVER THE AGES. SOUND AMP RECOMMEND FOR REAL SOUND DENSITY.

I tried a Super Audio Compact Disc (SACD) and it worked, but it's not listed as supported media, so I asked LG support about it. They said it might damage the player. I have difficulty understanding how, but I have not played an SACD since the 30 seconds I tried. Other than that, It's a great player for 4K ultra and all the supported media. If anyone knows how media could harm the player. I would be grateful for any details.

Let me start by saying the price I bought mine for was crazy good (open box). With that bring said, I like the fact that this one has built in Wi-Fi. I wish it had a smart hub. I wanted to add a few movie apps to it because the only options it offers is Netflix and YouTube, I believe. It does what its suppose to do but for me it's just ok.

Better sound that expected for the investment. Would have given 5 stars if it was easier to setup.

This is a great DVD player. It upscales your Blu Ray DvDs so that you can view them in 4K. It is also is a smart DVD player therefore you have all the features of a smart tv.

I hooked this up to I my 2016 LG OLED. I cannot believe how amazing the picture is. It was well worth the money!! Nice thing too is I can use TV remote to control the player

I picked this up on the first day it became available. Yes I was waiting for it. It performs flawlessly and the visuals are outstanding. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great picture connected tk LG OLED tv only complainr is thst so far it is not doing Dolby Vision.

Wish we had updated sooner! Movies comes in clearer, when you update to a new tv get a new DVR.

what i like about it is the optical out for older recievers that'll be my next big buy it's only about 10 years old :) puts out a good 4K picture from the few 4K HDR movies i have most notably Deepwater Horizon and La La Land look really good only think i don't like is 3D mode is turned off spent like a hour trying to figure out why i couldn't play 3D movies :) and there isn't really much of a manual for it just a quick setup guide

never a problem, not even installations. works like a charm every time. the blue ray has a terrific picture, good sound quality. Have enjoyed watching movies again.

This is, currently, the least expensive player that supports Dolby Vision straight out of the box. It is easy to navigate the menus and has an attractive design.

I really hate to give a bad review to an LG product because I love their OLED TVs and their Dolby Atmos soundbar that I own but this UHD blu-ray player just isn't up to par with those products. The only good thing about this player is that it does Dolby Vision which is the whole reason I bought this player. Unfortunately it doesn't do anything well at all. I was watching a 4K blu-ray and if froze up 4 times within the first 30 minutes. I tried another blu-ray and it froze up again along with some weird white line constantly flashing on the lower letter box of the screen. I did a comparison between this player, a Sony 4K player and my Xbox One X and both the Sony and the Xbox were far superior to the LG. Sorry LG but you failed on this product!!

The blu ray player shows fantastic picture, loads movie files fast with rich color. I was a Sharp electronics fan but when it comes to higher end tv's LG wins.

Aside from the major noise issue, the player works great. However, the loud annoying spinning noise issue ruins this player. If you search the internet forums you'll see this is a known issue with the player. For some reason, with Sony Blu-Rays the player will randomly start making a really LOUD spinning noise. It may last 5 minutes or 15 minutes. It will eventually stop, but may start again at some other point in the movie. With my super loud surround sound system if it was happening during an action scene, I could still hear it but not terribly annoying - however, if it's a "normal" scene or a dialogue scene the noise is so loud it can be heard across the room. It seems to only happen on Sony Branded Blu-Ray disc so possibly something to do with the codecs they use on their blu-rays or something. The movie still plays fine - you just have this really loud whirring sound which is very annoying during a movie. For this reason, I would not recommend this player.

purchased along with LG 65" OLED - 4K TV and LG 4K Blue Ray. When synced together with quality HDMI cables the picture and sound quality is beyond my expectations.

Got a great deal when you package this player with the L G tv so it seems to running just fine
