Product Manuals
Q: has this player had an update yet to support dolby vision?
A: Not yet. LG is saying maybe in August will enable this feature...
A: Yes the update for dolby vision came out fr this player it was in there latest update i own it and played 4k blu-ray with dolby vision on this player
Q: Does this still have the noise issues when playing 4k disks?
A: It apparently has to do with the build date of the player. It seems to affect models made the first half of 2017. I had a March build and it had that noise while playing Planet Earth II and other 4K discs. I recently swapped it for an August build and it plays silently, no problems at all.
A: The firmware to add DolbyVision support was released last month, and many people got it (myself included). However, apparently the release was pulled due to some issues (I haven't had any) and no timeline given on when it would available again.
A: I just contacted LG yesterday and they said DV update coming at the end of this month. So we'll see. It is also why I bought this player. Waited for first update and price drop and was disappointed to see update was pulled back.
A: It does. It is doby ATMOS compatible. We had to move the cables around after calling LG customer service and you have to put a DVD that has DOLBY ATMOS as well.
Q: Does this LG 4K Blu-ray Player upscale regular DVD's and Blu-rays?
A: Yes it does
Q: WHICH OPTION BETTER FOR DOLBY ATMOS , OPTICAL CABLE OR HDMI ? AND HOW CAN I FIND 3840*2160 SIGNAL?
A: Hi, Dolby Atmos requires an HDMI connection as it is not compatible with optical.
