This blue ray ultra hd player works great with my oled lg tv! Just wish the remote was back lit so you can use it in low lighting...nice unit go ahead and get this you won’t be dis satisfied

If you are looking for a basic 4K DVD player, this is a good option. Setup on my sons 40" Samsung TV, the picture in 4K looks great. Also hooked it up to my Panasonic plasma (1080), standard and Blu ray also looked very good. Simple to setup, fast disc access, good on screen controls. If you are like me and still like to see what is going on via a display screen on the player, look elsewhere. Great deal for the price point. Would recommend.

The player works great for what it does have. Great picture and sound straight from a 4k HDR UHD . Netflix works well if you have a HDR panel, but many of us are still waiting for the dolby vision firmware update along with some more applications, The nice thing is that there are two hdmi ports which helps get a dolby atmos signal to your receiver if your TV doesn't support it.

This is an awesome value considering the only other 4K Bluray players on the market are $500 or more that have Dolby Vision. It could have a better interface with more streaming programs but it's honestly not necessary considering all TVs are smart these days. Only reason it got 4 stars is I feel the auto dynamic range control and auto definition could be better as well. Definitely a great product for the price and even better if you can find it on sale!

Our old Blue Ray player died and we wanted a replacement that also had some of the streaming services bundled with it. The LG rep was in the store and recommended a model that was on sale but, when I got home, that unit did not have the bundled streaming services. Went back to BB and a BB rep confirmed I had been sold the wrong model. He swapped mine for one that did meet my needs and for the same price - even though the better model normally cost quite a bit more and wasn't on sale. The BB rep said he did so to make up for the inconvenience of my having to drive back across town to return the other unit because of their mistake. Thanks!

Superb picture quality and easy to use. Wish the control to the DVD player and television could be used on both but cannot though both are LG. Small thing. Well pleased overall.

The view of this player is amazing especially on my 65in tv, only down fall is that it is pretty wide

We bought this to replace a Samsung Blu-ray player because the sammy kept freezing up in the middle of a movie and often at the FBI warning at the start of a movie. After searching the internet the only solution I found seemed to be, don't buy a sammy, there is no real fix for your problem. The new LG has performed flawlessly. It seems to access the movie disk and acquire the movie much quicker than the old player. It hasn't locked up on a movie or the FBI warning once. It runs quiet. I can't think of anything wrong with it or of any improvements I would suggest. It works as you would expect and as it should.

I went in to Best Buy looking to purchase a Sony model that had the specs I was looking for. The Sales associate pointed out the deal on the LG UP970 and that it came with four free movies that I got to choose. The knock on this model was that it didn't come with Dolby Vision even though it states that it does on the box. Almost returned it because of that. I did an update the next day. It now has Dolby Vision. Best bang for your buck. Picture quality is outstanding!!!

The DVD player has great picture quality and is very easy to use. Works as expected.

We really like our new 4K player. We don't yet have the 4k tv, but it still works great and makes everything look stellar. Love how Netflix works on it, too!

I'm not disappointed with this 4K Blu-ray player. It's pretty good for the cost. Overall, I'm pleased with the picture and sound quality. The only negative would be the lack of content available. You pretty much only have Netflix and YouTube available, and you can't download any additional applications. Other than that, if you're looking for an affordable 4K Blu-ray player, this one should not disappoint.

This is a great bluray player. I was going to buy the Samsung but this one has a couple more features and the quality is just as good at a less expensive price.

I got the player because it was the cheapest UHD player that offered Dolby Vision AND HDR10. To my disappointment, LG pulled the firmware that contained the DV. Not sure when it will be available again. This player is also light on features, but if all you care about is having a standalone UHD player, it gets the job done.

It has a good quality picture and easy to use ! User friendly for sure .

Great economical purchase for anyone in the 4k blu ray player market. The first thing you will notice is, you can play 4k/HDR videos on this player with the youtube app, which isn't available for any TV except Samsung. Movies that I watched as a show piece and boy does it deliver Planet Earth II, Mad Max Fury Road, The Great Wall impeccable movies filmed in 4k and has great, great image quality. Stunning.

bought online and ship to store / had it a month now and it played both store and homemade DVDs as well as CDs I have. have not tried the rest of the things it says it will do / Easy hookup / great picture and sound reproduction. / I bought all new electronics so that everything would match up / example this player does 3D but your TV [ LG ; bought at best buy also ] has to except it as well and of course my stereo went from 4 speakers to 8 speakers theater system. Things do get better when the kids move out. I look forward to having this system for a long time.

The only other uhd player with Dolby Vision at a good price. Excellent picture on 4k DVD’s and plays Blu-ray and regular dvds with quick load time.
