Pro- Great Picture, excellent Apps Con- Poor sound quality needs sound bar

Works great for dvd or blu Ray Great quality and easy set up

This is the first time I buy LG video products, I’ve been using Sony for the last 10 years and I liked it, this blu-ray player is very simple and works good, only has two applications (Netflix and Amazon) Sony has a lot more but I use my TV for that!

So far works great. Recent update added Netflix. Both youtube and Netflix support 4K HDR. My LG OLED does not support 4k Hdr on YouTube yet. Disk load times are acceptable. Having issues trying to get it to see my Drobbo but that may be my fault as I may be missing something in the settings. Operation is easier than the $600 Panasonic unit and performance is as good or better.

I have had this player for over a month and have played just about every Blue-Ray ,DVD and HDR movies on it without any problems. It runs quietly and the picture is beautiful. It goes great with my 55E6P oled TV. I know it does not have many Apps on it but it is great just to watch your movies on it and the 3D is good as well...........................................

The update finally came for it to use Netflix. The color is off a bit. It also does you-tube. I like being able to plug in my USB flash drive to play music or MP4 movies or other items. Good for the money. It will be nice to have more premium options.

I purchase this yesterday. I went home set it up and installed a 4K movie (Battleship). Great Definition and sharpness Depth of the colors is great. To insure the 3D worked well as it did with the Blu-Ray LG 350. The 4K adds more depth to the 3D. Since I have had it only one day I will have to up date it later. Set up was easy. It works with my LG sound bar and TV .

This product does what you would expect. It is a middle of the road DVD player. Nothing special the quality seems to be good. I don't have 4k movies so can't really review that feature.

With few 4K (w/ HDR) Blu-ray players on the market, I was looking for one that offered an Optical audio out and support for multiple HDR formats. I pre-ordered the product with the impression that both Netflix and Amazon Instant would be available. Netflix wasn't initially accessible, but later became available with a firmware update. Still no Amazon Instant, nor do I see it listed as an application on tech specs. Hopefully additional applications will be loaded in a future firmware update, along with support for Dolby Vision's HDR. Video playback is smooth and impressive, audio isn't too shabby either. Of the few HDR Blu-rays currently on the market, Planet Earth 2 will certainly provide a rich experience of this product's features. Overall, I'm pleased with my selection versus other similar products available at the time of purchase.

The box stated that it has Dolby Vision, but the updates ended up taking that firmware away. This looked better than the Samsung and Sony players on my TV, but ultimately exchanged it since it lacked DV.

It had been awhile since i bought my last blu-ray player and the improvement in picture quality was notable with this LG player paired with a LG 55UH7700 TV. The decoding speed is much faster on older discs and the 4K picture quality is unreal. No problems with player noise that others have mentioned. Highly recommend especially if you get it on sale.

The 4 K picture is great. It is easy to understand and use.

This was supposed to replace an older Sony player that lost its wits. The LG looked like an upgrade on performance (4K, etc.), but it was a total downgrade on features, specifically apps. It comes pre-installed with exactly TWO streaming apps (Netflix and YouTube) and NO ability to install any new apps whatsoever. None. You simply can't install more apps on this thing, not nohow, not noway. No mention of this limitation on the packaging, either. I installed it, discovered this ridiculous design flaw, thought I must have missed something in the setup, researched it on the web, discovered forums full of people complaining about this very problem, and took it right back to BestBuy the very next day. The guy who sold it to me was as dumbfounded as I was. BestBuy swapped it with no problems for a new Sony (which was also cheaper!). I've had other LG products that worked fine and met expectations. What were they thinking when they built this thing??

This player works with every disc we've put in, even ones that wouldn't play on our Sony BRD player (The Longest Day). Older DVDs play fine too, but many have subtitles switched on by default. The latest firmware update added Dolby Vision which leverages our LG OLED set. If you use this with an LG set there is added functionality.

Beautiful picture and easy to use. Setup and use is easy!
