If you have a 4k Ultra HD TV you need a good quality 4k blue ray player. I just bought a LG 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) OLED 2160p Smart 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range and this was the perfect Blue Ray player for my tv. The quality of the image, the built-in apps, etc. This Blue Ray player is very convenient for me.

Our old Blue Ray player started to have major audio problems. We decided to replace it with an upgraded player. The LG unit we purchased is a nice up grade with ultra HD and 4 K and works well with our LG TV. The Blue Ray player doesn't have a built in SD card reader but this was remedied with a Insignia USB card reader.

This player produces good color and is easy to use

The LG DVD player was my second choice behind a Sony model that was not in stock due to Black Friday sales, you snooze you loose. This LG player works great and produces a perfect picture, time will tell if it holds up.

Bought this 4K Ultra Blue Ray Player after I purchased a 65" LG OLED 4K Smart TV. It was so simple and fast to install and the small size easily fit in my cabinet - out of sight. The player didn't come with cables, but I bought the AudioQuest 4k Ultra HD HDMI cables - pricy but terrific. Very pleased with this set up!

Does exactly what I bought it for, plays 4k and 3D blu-ray DVDs. Picture looks great. It may not have a ton of apps, but I didn’t buy a blu-ray player for apps. If you have a 4k tv and want to watch 4k movies then this is a great player. If you want a ton of apps to come with your blu-ray player then it may not be for you

Wish it had more apps. Only came with Netflix and YouTube. Although it has internet access, you can't add any apps. Should have paid closer attention to fine print. Old player had several more, Pandora, Hulu, Ian's others.

Bought this over the protestations of the sales person (who thought we should get the comparable Sony model). Got this instead because it seemed clear from the LG website that it had support for Dobly Atmos and Dolby Vision (which the Sony did not appear to tout on its website). So far it's been a good player generally.

I got this LG 970 open box at a fraction of the original price from Best Buy. Works perfect although still waiting for the Dolby Vision upgrade from LG. Overall you can’t beat the price, I am a happy customer!

Great value. Has all the features you would need, including Dolby Vision support. Yes, it lacks many streaming options, but I'm not sure why you would want any streaming options on a UHDBR player anyway... Any TV you'd hook this up to should be a smart TV with all the streaming capabilities you need.

First and foremost, there is so much to read when transitioning over to LG Oled (C7). If you are planning to make the investment with the television, the LG sound Bar with Dolby Atmos capability...don’t settle for upscaling only. This is one of a handful of players that can handle Atmos and Dolby Vision.

If you need a player to play 4K movies, then this will work. Very simple and easy set up. Only 4 stars because there is not info screen on the player to indicte play, or pause, etc. Small stuff.

I exchanged an lower model so I could have Dolby vision, just waiting for firmware update, based on visit to lg booth at ces show it should be soon

No Dolby Vision yet, lacking apps. Not good at picking up WiFi. But it plays the 4k blue rays just fine. Flimsy draw. Not a heavy build. If you find it at a good price go for it. Entry level player.

We just purchased a new lg 9 series 4K tv and the player came free with purchase. Works great and user friendly. Has Ethernet connection for updates! Does not come with a quality hdmi cord, your going to have to spring for a cinnamon cable for it's true quality, but completely with the investment!

I returned this item for one reason only, it was really loud when playing certain sony disc's. Other than that it had a really nice picture and was fast.
