Gear fit competition.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot talk or listen on phone. Not competitive to Samsung gear, gear 2, gear s, 2and3. I had all Samsung gears until they bombed with Note7. Looking got an equivalent watch less than $300.

Great Watch. Hefty, but great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started with a Samsung Gear Neo 2 about 2 years back. It was getting tired, and I was wanting more of a Watch that was Smart versus a Dick Tracy based speak into your wrist type of awkwardness. During this time I figured out Tizen was not my bag. Even ended up loading Android Wear onto the Gear 2 Neo. So, I have been using Android Wear for quite some time. Battery Life: I have seen reviews knocking the battery on this watch. I have been using it through out the day with ambient watch face on and getting plenty of notifications (I have a work email account bound to my cell, so I can get on average 1,000 emails in a 24 hour period). From when I pulled it off the charger this morning at 06:00 until 13:24... I am sitting at 79% battery. I use the Instant Weather Watch Face, so it does consume a bit of battery pulling refresh data. All in all, 21% used in almost 7.5 hours is not a bad thing at all. Old watch couldn't get that kind of mileage. Charger Base: Good design. Could be improved. The magnets do help give you the sense of it being "docked". However, until you are completely used to it, always wait and make sure it is in place. I could see how someone might think it is docked, when it might be slightly out of place and not charging. Usage: This is Android Wear. It is just like the other Android Wear devices. LG added a dialer, but that is about it. LG Dialer does come in handy when my phone is in the the charge cradle, but I don't seem to use it much. I am hoping that the next version of Android Wear will be made available for this watch when it comes out. Weight: You will know when you are wearing this bad boy. It is not like it will drag you down, but it definitely states its presence. I find it comfortable enough to wear all day, and also to wear when I go for a distance run (@5k for now). Heart Rate: Ok... It is close to the mark most of the time. Yeah, I cannot get the math to work out to accurately report this one. I compare the monitor on my phone versus the watch. Would I use it for general purpose and exercise information... absolutely. Would I want to use it for any life threatening or perilous matter... No chance. I was really looking into the Moto Series and the Gear series when getting this watch. Couldn't do it with the Moto. Between the "flat tire" look on some of the models and how much that sparked a slight voice in my head. Pass. The Gear was a good competitor before I realized I did not want to go back to Tizen. I still think there is more to come with Android Wear than Tizen (and I actually like Samsung). TLDR: Great Watch. Beautiful Display. No lag time. Good battery. Slight heft. Would get it again.

An Excellent Android Smart Watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG Watch Urbane is a great smartwatch for the price. Watch speed and performance is excellent, as is the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Pairing this watch to your phone is seamless, provided you first download the Android Wear app to your phone before pairing. The Android Wear app allows you to select which types of apps, websites, and notifications are allowed to send information to your watch. Battery life seems very good, especially if you limit what types of information and notifications your phone sends to your watch. The display on this watch is excellent, and three quick presses of the crown temporarily increases illumination for viewing in bright sunlight. This watch fits perfectly on my medium-sized manly wrist, not too large but not too small either.

A watch with class
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best looking Android Wear devices. Although the band is a bit stiff and takes some getting use to the watch is solid. Battery life on the device is great for a smartwatch. I usually take my watch off the charger between 8a-10a and dock it at 10p with 75% of battery life remaining with an always on display. Keep in mind this number will vary to others depending on their settings. Overall I am pleased with the device.

Trash
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't even bother, seriously, its a garbage product wrapped in nice paper. Bad batteries on both the one I got ( lasted less than 5 minutes on a full charge ) and the second went out on day 13. Super slow OS and the watch face will turn off and on all day and the display doesn't show 70% of the time making it look like a toy

Looks great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took a while to get used to how big this is for my small wrists. After a while I started to appreciate the way it looked on me. The screen is beautiful and brightness & fonts can be adjusted in many ways. Counting steps seems accurate enough, not so much measuring heart rate, it has to be placed just right on your wrist. The wifi can be a bit shotty. When I go downstairs and leave my phone upstairs.. Its give or take if the wifi works. Its kept me In the loop if I've received calls/texts/emails from my kids' school. Worth it for me, but only at the sale price, not regular price.

Best Andriod Wear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So many are wondering if the watch is worth the price. Well at first I was also skeptical and I even went and bought the cheaper Moto360, but the flat tire was a deal breaker. The LG Urbane is awesome and the battery is awesome as well. The voice recognition is also very helpful. I like the different watch faces it comes with. Also the great news is that it connects to wifi and also android will continue to improve the android wear software. I did my research and the best android on the market. Try it out and see why its an awesome and gorgeous watch. I get many compliments and top quality I might add.

Great Open Box Deal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Open Box version of the LG Urbane here on Best Buy. I was a bit concerned about what condition it might arrive in, as I am sure many are when purchasing a used item. The watch arrived in it's original box, and the box was well worn, which of course concerned me even more. Upon opening the box I found the watch to be in pristine condition - It looked as if the previous owner bought it, saw it, and put it right back in. Even the charger was still sealed in its original plastic, unopened. So, I was really pleased that it looked just like a new watch, with zero damage, marks or any sign of being used. The watch itself is great. At first I thought it looked a bit big, but after wearing it for a few days I got used to the size. It functions seamlessly with my LG V20, and the battery gets me easily though two days. Depending on the day, I usually have anywhere from 65-70% left after a day of moderate use. The battery life got better after all the updates and after a few days of settling in to the watch. The only negative is all the updates required as a new watch owner. I must have when through at least 8 or 9 updates, each having to done separate. I suggest putting the thing on the charger when you get it in the evening and just having it within arms reach so you can start the updates until they cycle through all of them. It will only update on the charger itself. I think this is a great deal at the Open Box price, combined with the fact that the Urbane will get the Android Wear 2.0 update (according to LG). I recommend it.

An Upgrade from my Moto 360 in many ways
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my Urbane for about 5 days now, and coming from my a Moto 360 they're definitely a few upgrades that justified my purchase beside the fact that it's a Classy/Beautiful looking watch. Improvement over Moto 360: -Full Round Display (No flat tire) -Brighter OLED Display (Richer color and great outdoor clarity) -Better Battery Life (Moto 360 was about 20 hrs, Urbane is easily 36 hrs) -Slightly Faster processes (Thx to the newer processor app open quicker) -Standard 22mm Straps (No chunk removal necessary- Moto 360 bands aren't standard) --- As long as the watch meets your style you can't go wrong ;-)

Great Watch - Poor Fitness Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this watch five stars for what it does as a watch and an adjunct to my Droid Turbo. I would give it a one star for its ability to accurately track heart rate and exercise. Urbane is a minimal activity tracker in my experience. Major issue is with the heart rate during exercise. The rate is hardly ever close to my Fitbit Surge which was very accurate. Reporting of exercise activity also fluctuates greatly from what is actually being done. It is much better when the exercise is simply walking a golf course. I have adjusted the band and made sure the back of the watch is clean to no avail. This purchase was to replace my Fitbit Surge because I continued to get the Fitbit burns on my wrists the same as I did with the earlier model Fitbit. I tried putting moleskin on the band but that just caused the burn to move down my wrist. Loved the Surge..... the tracking reports and the sleep measurements. Throughout my life I have never had a problem with a watch causing a rash or a burn like the Fitbit does. That includes watches with metal, leather, or rubber like bands. I get about a day and a half on a charge and charge the watch at night. You need to be careful with the charger because it is pretty easy to dislodge the watch accidentally stopping the charging. Urbane pairs easily with my Droid Turbo and I have no issues with how the two work together. I would recommend this to a friend as a smart watch with limited fitness applications. However, I am going to return this watch to Best Buy and look for something else.

Beautiful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A beautiful watch. I've owned the Moto 360, and the Zen watch. There really is no comparison. I price matched Amazon and got this for 309.00 + tax. The battery life is great, so much better than the 360. Using the Oled screen really helps in this area. I can keep the ambient screen on with out worrying about battery. With the 360 I had to leave the screen black being as it is IPS LCD which kills battery. . Screen is crystal clear and bright. Build quality is superior to the 360 IMO. If I had to list one complaint it would be the leather band. Stiff and a tad short, although I'm on the 4th hole it could stand yo be a bit longer. If you have a small wrist this watch will look huge on your arm, but the strap will fit you better than me. I'm already shopping for a new 22mm strap.

One of the best smartwatches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a Moto 360 watch but as most owners know, it does not have very good battery life. I researched smartwatches and read that this watch has better battery life. After owning it several months, I agree this smartwatch lasts almost 2 days before recharging. The watch is comfortable and easy to read. I am happy.

Great watch
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have now owned this watch for a few months so I have seen the good and the bad. This is quite the step up from my first smart watch a few years ago. The watch faces can almost mimic actual analog watches. This watch is Android Wear and after owning Tizen it is neat to have the entirety of the Play store to work with. I get all my notifications and can even respond to texts or messenger messages from the watch itself. This isn't the LTE version so you cannot leave your phone behind but you can send a quick message out with your phone nearby but not in hand. Because this isn't the LTE version you can change out the watch bands with any band that is 22mm. (The LTE has wiring in the band making it incapable of being switched out.) However finding ones specifically for the LG Watch Urbane is not an easy task. Cons - it seems to drop the phone a lot. I'll get the warning vibration and the question of if I've left my phone even though the phone is nearby. Could be the phone service or the watch I couldn't be certain. However the smart switch from phone wifi pull to wifi you have saved is slow, almost needs you to manually enter the watch and put it on wifi. I do not like that. I want it to just pop over if it needs to for connectivity. I have smaller wrists this actually takes up most of my wrist across. If that is a problem for you then you won't like it. I don't mind I like chunky, large watches.

Stunning to look at, functionally awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the look of this smartwatch. I get comments all the time as to how pretty it is. At first I thought it might be too large for a female wrist, but it is perfect. It connects to my work network, home network, works seamlessly with Android Wear and all the apps I've downloaded. So many watch faces to choose from and my exercise tracking has become so accurate. I hate taking it off to charge, but that is the only drawback and is of course inevitable.
