First off, I am a huge Python fan. Have watched "Holy Grail" 100 times. This one does not hold up.

although there is a somewhat superior version of this film o dvd released by criterion, you could save a ton of money if you just want the bare bones edition made available by anchor bay. fans of python in general will find themselves falling on their hands & knees with laughter. the greatest, wackiest story never told before remains one of the funniest films in history. i don't really think of this film as sacreligious. i think the film makers are simply poking fun at how quickly humans are apt to follow anyone for any reason. well, some don't really need to have a reason to seek leaders. brian, unfortunately isn't a leader but a very naughty boy as his mother will tell you.

This is probably the most contraversial Python film and it's also one of their best. This has the usual python humor involving stupid people and stupid situations. They are constantly throughing jokes at you while following the story which is about Brian. Some of the jokes can seem a bit odd. The entire movie takes place while Jesus is on earth so there are some instances in which you see Jesus. They never however make Jesus seem stupid. The video quality has been touched up alot for this version. Overall this is a great film.

Life of Brian is a brilliant film and my favorite of the Monty Python catalog. The blu-ray transfer looks fantastic, though it would be nice if the deleted scenes didn't looks so incredibly awful.

Life of Brian is Python's take on Judea at the time of Christ. Brian is a character who's life parallel's Jesus's. If you're going to buy this, you probably know about the movie and why it's one of the best movies, let alone best comedy, of all time. The Special Features though are what set it over the top. It's great to hear the Pythons talk about the process, both the god and the bad about the shoot.

Among the three Python films, this is the second best in my eyes, as it is very funny, but not as classic as the Grail. The grail is funny throughout the whole movie, while this has many funny parts, but some parts were just not that good. Any Python fan will love this, but people who only like the Holy Grail may not find this as good and be turned off by it. This movie is controversial, and may be seen as blasphemous by making fun of all religions, so be warned.

Don't be put off by the reputation this movie has as being disrespectful towards Jesus Christ. They actually do portray Christ is a very respectful manner. Plus, the commentary about the whole thing is just brilliant. Love it or hate it, you have to see it.

You can't beat the price on this classic Monty Python film. Not any extras, but who cares. It's on Blu. Nice clean transfer, though you'll notice some scenes show the grain from the 16mm film. Other bright scenes look like it was shot yesterday. Still, a great chance to see an often overlooked great Python film!

Don't know what the first reviewer was watching...this is the funniest parody of religious fanaticism ever. Even funnier than Holy Grail.

There is nothing I can add about this classic Python film that hasn't already been said. The transfer to Blu-ray is clean and perfectly well mastered.

The movie is so bad I'm literally speechless, I just can't believe I let my friend talk me into viewing this thing. Plenty of bonus materials ported over from the standard dvd collector's edition, for those who can stand this thing.

It has a few funny parts but most of the movie was pretty boring to me.
