Case power button dosent work

Slightly inconvenient and button issue

First of all, in order to use most headphones or, say, plug in an aux cord to the headphone jack you have to screw in a connector. This is because the hole for the headphone jack is too small due to the addition of threads for a watertight seal. Screwing in the adapter is a nuisance, but ultimately this is a just minor gripe. The real issue I have with this case which has become apparent in just the past couple days is that my volume buttons stick now, or rather I can't press them. Generally happens to just the top volume button, but this is a major drawback! I almost have to remove my phone from the case just to adjust the volume. The case worked fine for a month, but this issue may have me buying a new case altogether.

I must say it is not worth the price. The case is slick to the touch so I am constantly afraid I may drop the phone pulling it out of my pocket. The flap over the charger feels cheap and almost like it could snap off just by opening which you obviously do often. The headphone jack is covered by a screw cap which isn't the easiest to remove. For the price there are definitely better cases out there even if you buy the screen adapter separately.

The case fits well on the phone but the built in screen protector does not fit flush to the screen. It makes opening apps and texting difficult, you have to press several times sometimes just to get it to respond. It is even worse if you try to use anything near the edges of the phone. Lifeproof needs to redesign the fit of this case, there is a noticeable gap between the screen protector and the screen of the phone. May be returning the case for something that fits the phone better.

almost a great phone case

This makes it almost impossible to text, open apps or do much of anything on the phone. I have owned the case for a few months and have been trying to get past this issue but i cant. It is super frustrating to try to use my phone.

Seems great, but must seal edges of case firmly

My initial problem was that the volume and off/on keys would not work, which was very frustrating. Thankfully, my husband has much better pincer strength than I, so he was able to seal the front and back sides of the case together in a way I was unable to do. Once he did that, all the keys worked fine. The sound and tactile response seem perfectly fine. I am able to dictate messages and enter searches into Google, and the touch for typing is actually a bit better than on a Zagg screen protector; in fact, I bought this case because the Zagg protector tends to fall off if I drop the phone. So, the case seems to be exactly what I hoped for, but I'm really glad my husband was able to seal the edges of the two sides of the cover in a way I could not.

I paid full price for this and expect at such price I'd get a quality product with zero issues due to design flaw. Such is not the case (pun intended). The power/black out button on the right side of case just doesn't line up well at all. It worked when originally installed at the store. But dummies at the store did not clean fingerprints and it was bothering me. I took it off the phone and cleaned the screen and case window, and ever since, that button doesn't work. I feel totally ripped off because I have to take it out of the case (yes I asked how to do properly before leaving the store) to turn off or restart. And forget about hitting the button to "close" the screen. The screen doesn't fit tight to the face of the phone either.

We found that there was a space between the screen protector and the screen that made texting hard on the edges. we returned it, to much money to have to deal with defects.

Plastic screen protector makes noise every time you press it and doesn't work well at the edges. Given that the phone is already waterproof it is overkill. Going to get a smaller back case and fit a glass screen protector instead
