These bulbs are smarter, better, and brighter than the Phillips Hue bulbs. These are 3rd gen bulbs that work with Homekit, Alexa, and their own IOS/Android Lifx app. They don't rely on a separate hub to operate. They use your homes wifi network to communicate.

Light is bright I would recommend if you don’t want get a hub, runs on WiFi and an app and it’s super easy to use and set up

Im a big fan of the LIFX bulb. This bulb is easy to install, incredibly bright, tremendously vibrant colors and easy to control with the app. Also using integration with IFTTT you can do a lot of cool thing like change the color when you get a message or when the doorbell rings. Each light bulb needs its own IP address so if you are going to replace your whole house with these make sure you have plenty available. At 40 bucks a pop...on good days it is ridiculously steep for a light bulb but I love never having to touch a light switch ever again.

Super simple set up. Brightest light out of hue and iLumi lights. Does not require a bridge, works great with Alexa!

I bought two of these bulbs for myself, and was pleased enough to buy two more for a gift. Their ease of installation made me confident my less than technical expert relatives could install with ease. They work as promised and are reliable through occasional WiFi hiccups. Dimming is infinitely variable and produce good colors. The LIFX App. Has room for expanded capabilities, but there is a good start for features offering special effects.

get this over the mini if you can fit it in your fixture. excellent colors, whites could be brighter.

Works well with Alexa and now it is programmed to go on every night and turn off in the morning

Brighter than the regular lifx lights! Not too much of a difference but you can definitely tell that it’s brighter in color!

Definitely expensive for a light bulb, but very bright and awesome color options. Had phillips but decided on these based on the no hub required and how bright they are.

The Lifx A19 Color lightbulb is the best color smart lightbulb period. It is much brighter than Philip's Hue color bulbs and connects directly to your wifi network without the need for a separate hub. The app's color wheel is also easier to use than Hue's color gradient. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants to add a premium color smart light bulb to their home.

After many reviews of other brands I decided to purchase this light. I was not disappointed. Initial setup was mostly straight forward. Currently using a mini now as well. Both are in my family room to set the mood for movies, events and relaxing. I love the brightness over similar Hue lights and have had no issues with connecting to the light or app. I will be purchasing more in the future! Thanks for the great product.

This bulb will change your life. Not only can you change the brightness and tone of white for the light, you can do all of it with different colors as well. The app is super slick and works very well. Chosing colors is almost like a paint palet. You can adjust hues with brightness and intensity. Also, it has a great music visualizer. It uses ur phones microphone. I put it next to my tv and played call of duty. It was intense. Will change your life.

I thought $60 was a bit high but new tech is always this way.. They will come down in price as years go by. I bought one of these to see if it was any better than the Philips Hue Kit I returned. Turns out these are 1100 lumens which is better and brighter than the 800 of the Hue's. Was able to bring it into the Amazon Echo "Alexa" environment and "trigger red" through IFTTT works perfectly. Will get more of these as I can afford them.

Love these lights so much have been replacing all the lights in my house with them, as well as gifting to family and friends to convert as well. So far everyone I have given them to loves them as well. Super easy to set up and work via the app. Didn't think it was possible, but I love them even more now that I have my echo dot. I can get into bed and say "Alexa turn off bedroom light" and it turns off. Seriously, amazing!!

While I love the Philips Hue lighting system, my ONLY complaint is that they only offer the color bulbs in a maximum of about 800 Lumens / 60 W equivalent. This bulb is quite bright at 1100 Lumens and it doesn't need a hub or bridge to work. It connects to your wireless router independently. The Lifx app is OK, but not stellar, in my opinion. Using the Apple HomeKit, it connects easily. I have 2 of them and am happy with the performance.

Just love the colors and the features these light bulbs have to offer. Works great with my google home and my harmony hub to set the mood while watching TV. Excellent buy.
