I don't think you can pay anymore for a light bulb. I once bought a package of 10 energy saver bulbs for less than 10 dollars. Less than 1 dollar a bulb. Now I'm buying bulbs for $60 each?! It does everything I think it's going to, but perspective makes me take away a star. I also don't know why this bulb is flat instead of round. I really wanted a round one. Wait, no. I know, but it's still lame. The round bulbs put out light at a very very wide angle. This doesn't. Cone of light is narrower... which means takes less energy to produce a more intense light. Sort of like those flashlights that advertise 1000 lumens! But it's only when you narrow the beam to 4 inches that you get 1000 lumens. Anyways... Great product, but shifty marketing and high price makes so-so for the price.

Tons of features and abilities, manages to get brighter than the competition, and doesn't require a seperate hub. It also integrates with Apple Homekit easily, unlike the other brands.

Have always been impressed with lyfx bulbs. Easy to setup and use. Love the feature of being able to control lights from my phone and this bulb does not require an additional hub to work

Love these lights and there are many options of colors to choose from. Love that it connects to Alexa.

Purchased two of these a little over a year ago and they have not disappointed! These were my first smart home accessory so I wasn't sure what to expect. At the time LIFX was a pretty new company and the app and setup was a little clunky at first. I had issues with getting the app to see the bulbs and getting the bulbs to stay connected to wifi. A firmware update soon after my purchased fixed all those issues. The following firmware update brought HomeKit support which was very nice! I ended up purchasing a LIFX mini for a special lamp I have and it too is amazing. Little more expensive than Phillips Hue but highly recommend.

I was looking for more brighter Smart bulb. This was one of the very few good options. I like the App and how well it syncs with Apple and Alexa.

I have 5 of these light now and I’ve never had a single issue! I love that they work completely by themselves and you don’t have to have a bridge or anything. If you are thinking of getting these just go ahead and buy!

Lifx lights are the best. They are bright, have the best range of color and are easy to set up. I now have over 10 of these lights through out the house and love them.

I love Lifx Bulbs and lighting in general. Every now and then the app gives me trouble but usually it works smooth and I love all the colors!

This is the second LIFX bulb I’ve bought. I love the flexibility of this bulb... you can select virtually any color and brightness setting by your smartphone app, and you can use “themes” to let the bulb automatically cycle through changes. So far I’ve had no problems either setting the bulbs up or operating the bulbs. The app lets you customize the name and location for each bulb, and you can operate them singly or as a group. At full power, it’s roughly equivalent to a 75 watt incandescent bulb. It will even function as a strobe light if so desired. I’ve had lots of fun playing with the first bulb.

I always wanted a smart bulb to my room. LIFX was very very easy to setup on HomeKit. Its brightness surprised me. This one, I think is stronger then a Philips Hue.

My son convinced us to update the bulbs in our house to LED. The light in the Guest Bedroom, that we put the LED bulb into was too dim. My son (who has two (2) of these bulbs in his room) suggested that a LIFX bulb would be brighter. He was right, but we can dim it lower if need be.

This bulb has many cool options. The app is super easy to use. Great color range. The only problem is there can be an issue connecting to them. Not as reliable as a low tech timer when you are away.

Once you download the app and get used to the interface, it's not bad. Really easy if it's just an on/off type use or dimming the lights. If it doesn't respond, it may just need a refresh on the wifi.

This is perfect if you want to start a Smart Home. The colors are great and works with my Echo Dot. The fact you don't need a starter pack or a hub was a big selling point for me.

I purchased this smart bulb along with the TP-Link smart bulb (which isn't as expensive) to see which one I liked best. This smart bulb is brighter than most equivalent bulbs I could find on the market. However, we had to constantly manually reset it because it would get disconnected from the network/offline. Haven't had this issue with the TP-Link at all (in fact, ended up purchasing 4 more TP-Link smart bulbs because the first one worked so well). It is a nice looking bulb (weird comment, I know!) and has nice features (like Amazon Alexa-enabled) but we returned it due to its reliability issues.

While these lights are not quite as vivid as Hue lights they are superior in many ways. They connect directly to your wifi so there is no bridge or hub needed. Also whenever you flip your light switch off then on they stay wherever you last set them. There are plenty of 3rd party apps available as well for whatever your needs may be.
