Works as advertised
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The bulb works perfectly with the app, Google Home, Google Wi-Fi and IFTTT. The only issue is if you have two Google accounts setup on your Google Home the lights must be setup on BOTH accounts or you will get the message that the lights haven't been setup. Other than that, they have performed flawlessly.

Works Great with Alexa

Great Wifi Bulbs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These bulbs really take about 5-10 minutes to set up. For the first one anyhow. I have these in my bedroom and kitchen. The voice controls work great thru Alexa anything. Sweet gadget!

Great bulb - not easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am sorry to say that after reading the manual and following the directions the "onboarding process" failed multiple times. I tried to connect to the bulb directly from my iphone and then finish the setup - "an unexpected error occurred". Dropped to the 2.4GHz range. Perform hardware resets on the bulb - during which I was able to see the various colors. No matter what I tried I was unsuccessful. Rebooted my router, modem, phone, bulb. Waited 20 mins and then tried again with failure. Please note I do not have a home kit and was simply trying to connect this directly via the app and sync it to either Alexa or Google Assistant. I contacted support and they had me do the same things I already tried with no success. I see the bulb but it will simply not complete the onboarding process. Was told I have to lower my security from WPA2 to WPA - that was not an option. Returned the bulb ASAP and got a Philips Hue with the starter kit. Setup for that was done in less than 10 mins. I really wanted this to work since I didn't see the need for a starter kit but unfortunately if you plan on syncing directly to this bulb without any type of home kit - I wish you the best of luck. Make sure to lower your routers security and then maybe then it will connect. Not worth the risk or time in my case. Once i told the support person that was not an option when he asked me to lower my routers settings - he stopped responding. The bulb itself is very nice quality and looks great since its an LED light bulb but not worth the cost without being able to use its "smart" features.
