    I purchased 2 LIFX smart lights and have them synced with my phone. I was a bit challenged with creating a schedule but was finally able to have the lights come on just after sunset. Great for me as the program now does the "thinking" for me. They go off after midnight. When there is a power outage, I have to reset the program.

    I bought these because I needed smaller bulbs than what Hue offered. Setup of one bulb was flawless but the other kept disconnecting and took about 10 tries to get it to show up in the app. The app interface and setup process are definitely inferior to Hue but I like that there is no separate hub required.
