As someone who has used both Hue and LIFX. I have to say that LIFX wins in my opinion. I like that you connect directly to the bulbs using WiFi and does not require a bridge like the Hue. They also retain their last color, which is helpful because I often turn off the lights at the switch. I am very pleased with these bulbs, and have been using the LIFX ecosystem for many years.

While the lights do have their hang ups connecting to the WiFi they are stable enough to have fun... not sure how they compare with hue and their hub but one less thing to plug in without these and they work... my only complaint is that I’ve had a rash of power outages the last couple weeks and when the power comes back on so do the lights even if their last setting was off. Overall great fun to be had with multiple lights and the app effects. My niece and nephew love them and want them for their bedrooms!

The Mini 800 works as I expected. The colors are great with good response from the app. But in my opinion it's overpriced!

I have these all over my house and I love em. They are bright, the colors are awesome, no hub needed and energy saving as well. They work with all voice assistants and add the cool factor too. The LIFX mini puts out the same amount of light (800 lumens) as most other brands top models. The LIFX regular lights are even brighter (1100 lumens). Can''t go wrong with these. Make sure you have a good WIFI network.

These are a great addition to their light strips. The color selection is awesome but not the brightest, the whites are though. App and favs take a little while to get set up but one done works great. Have not used them in HomeKit much other than adding them in and testing them once. If your looking for a very bright light or multi colors get their strips. They have 8 controllable zones per meter.

LIFX lights are the best for ease of use and brightness.

Plug and play light bulb. Just need the app and that's it. No need for a bridge or additional equipment to make it work. Use your tablet or smart phone and done. Also can connect to home programs so if you have a smart home assistant (Alexa, Siri ... ) this will make things easier. Lastly love the additional setting where you can change programs and effects.

I picked this bulb up to fit in my man cave and it works as advertised. Full color spectrum to find the color you want and plenty of pre programmed settings in the app. I will say, buying this light at full price may be a bit too expensive, but the daily deal marked it down and I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants mood lighting or just a different setting in your home.

I already had a Samsung Smart hub and didn't want another hub to manage. The LIFX light works great with their own app, Google Assistant, and Samsung Smart Home Hub.

We bought 2 of these bulbs for our bedroom so we could use Alexa. The bulbs can produce almost any color you want with the phone app. Not only can you ask Alexa to turn on/off the lights, you can ask her to change the lights to a color or to a preset scene that you can create in the application. I just wish there was a bit higher illumination level. It works fine most of the time, just not when you want to read at night. Yes, we will purchase LIFX again.

These lights just work. The are consistent, fast to respond, and more expensive than other bulbs. However, well worth it because again.... they just work! Homekit still has some of its weirdness from time to time... that's not the fault of these lights. But they give you the best chance to have a pleasant experience with Homekit.

I’ve been using connected lights for awhile now and was about to buy a couple of another brand when I came across these. The price made me question the quality but after reading a couple of reviews I went ahead and picked them up. They are great!! With easy app set up, excellent connectability and a great selection of colors, I’ll stick with this brand moving forward.

I recommend this bulb over any smart bulb out there. It may be “mini” but for a multicolor bulb the colors are beautiful, bright, and vivid! I promise you won’t regret buying this bulb! LIFX makes great quality bulbs and I prefer them over the competition. It also works with Google Home, Alexa, and Apple HomeKit.
