The app very easy, and intuitive, the colors are great and I love the "moods" which are presets that Lifx has created for you, feeling spooky, feeling lusty, feeling happy or want to reduce your eye strain or increase it < (SATIRE) Lifx bulb is for you.

It can be changed to a large variety of colors, and the app has so many settings you can place it on that there is no way you can find one that would suit you. You can dim the lights too which is great! The only thing that I don't like is that when I put my lamp shade on, the light isn't super bright so the room still kind of feels poorly lit. My lamp shade is a little thicker than most lamp shades so that might be why. Other than that, it's great! I just take my lamp shade off if I need the room to be super lit up.

So if you’re a household that’s only looking to use 1-2 of these this is great. The quality was superior and even more so the iOS app to control it was streamlined fun to play with. However, since you’re not using a hub with LIFX, each individual light uses its own bandwidth in your WiFi to control and can end up slowing down your connection to the rest of the house.
