My lifx bulb wouldn’t work with the home hit app so it made it extremely diff to connect it using the lifx app. Also lifx customer support is terrible

Horrible quality horrible lights constantly disconnects from HomeKit. 1/10 recommend.

I was excited to have this product but after trying to install and getting a new router it still wouldn’t work.

The light bulb worked once, then lost WiFi connection-would not display colors, just white. Useless.

DO NOT BUY as no customer support from LIFX, just buy Philips Hue instead

Difficult to set up and Alexa doesn’t always respond nor work with this bulb

I love my bulbs. They were quick to setup and sync with my existing smart devices. Only thing I would make people aware of is the requirement for wifi. I don't think most will understand how these bulbs are synced to the router. Once they're connected they're fine but until that point it could seem very confusing. Hue bulbs are an easier concept to understand but those require a hub and unless you have at least four its not really worth it in my opinion. LIFX is awesome regardless.

The LIFX mini manages greater brightness across the spectrum than the Hue, while having double the projected lifespan. It doesn't require a hub, instead using wifi. The app features and effects (like music reactivity) that the Hue can only do with the aide of unauthorized third-party apps. The LIFX mini is the objectively better bulb.

Bought one of these to try out LIFX. Setup was a breeze since you can add it directly from Apple's Home app, without ever even installing the LIFX app. You can even manage colors there. Once I installed the LIFX app things went downhill. There was a firmware update of course, but soon after that the light was off and unreachable. I tried different lamps and swapping bulbs around but it was very clear it was the LIFX bulb that was dead. No wifi network broadcast from it, I can get it to occasionally flash white for a moment but otherwise it's totally dead. What a waste.

This bulb worked great for 2 years. Color changing on a schedule, good brightness. Until now. Purchased November 2019, bulb is less than 2 months past warranty and will no longer turn on at all. LIFX support is no help either. Very disappointed.

Similar to the BR line, these bulbs tend to last only the length of the 2 year warranty and then falter. Customer support is ONLY available via email communication and life span of 22 years is vastly exaggerated

It's really good at first! had this for over 6 months now. but one day it just disconnected from the internet!! I was devastated because this was the only smart light I got. I will be getting another one but in a different style. I also threw away the code to connect it so there is no way to connect it anymore! although this light is very nice and amazing! will be recommending it to a friend I'm just going to tell them not to throw away anything of it! Also, if there is a way to connect it back without the code, please tell me!

This is the only lightbulb I plan to buy for the rest of my life.

Really wanted to like these. Love the light output and color. They seem really well built but the connectivity is horrible... absolutely horrible! They will lose connection frequently and have no range whatsoever. I have 2 of the bigger versions and 1 out of 2 are still working. The other one keeps turning on and off randomly. Of the 4 in this 4 pack, 1 actually paired with no trouble, then it disappeared from the app. Got the others paired up finally but didn’t connect once I got them in place they couldn’t connect to my router which wasn’t more than 40 feet away. Tried a range extender and they wouldn’t connect to it at all. Very disappointed.

I've spent the afternoon trying to set up this light bulb. I tried everything the site said . I even checked my router channel and width and both were okay. I disconnected every other device except my phone. I installed the light in a lamp 3 foot from my router. There is no metal around it. I tried the LIFX app and then the Home app and even google home. Even without an app my phone can't connect through the wifi. I just keep getting the message than an unexpected error occured Try again. Each time I have to reset the bulb by turning it off and on 5 times. I've googled it, and searched the LIFX support site and still no connection. I give up.

This lights are very cool, you control them with a phone or tablet via WiFi.. BUT they come all by themselves ALL THE TIME. I have double checked making sure none of the lights are scheduled 1. Individually or 2. Grouped. The lights truely will come on by themselves. When I’m asleep. When I’m not home. Nobody else uses my WiFi so it’s not possible it’s someone making jokes... not only that, I’ve had these lights about 6 months and while I have occasionally used them more than only 3 hours per day, one has already burned out but the other 2 attached to the same lamp are just fine, and used the same. but what prompted me to write this review was that I went to go shut the remaining 2 working bulbs in my 3light lamp, only one of the two responded to the power signal. THIS IS SO IRRITATING TO SOEND THIS KIND OF $ ON A PRODUCT AND GET THIS GARBAGE. Spend the money and go with Phillips, unfortunately I haven’t tried them but they have GOT to be better than this trash.
