Fortunately we had the Geek Squad Protection Plan and when a lightening strike caused a power surge and damaged the router we were able to exchange it at Best Buy for a new one. It is identical to the original and works great. Our home network is reliable and fast with this router.

I purchased the Linksys EA6900 because of its great performance with a dual band wireless. The signal is more stronger than my old Linksys. The only problem is the high price.

Though it's a little spendy for the average home user as there are cheaper solutions out there, you won't be disappointed with this linksys product.

Download the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router. Once accomplished, observe the connection for a day or two.

I like the fact there isn't any constantly blinking blue/green lights and all you see is a LINKSYS logo glowing a soft white light. I also like the low profile design. I really like the "guest mode" with a separate password too. Overall the best router we've ever owned before and a great value for less than $150. for an AC-1900.
