Once this was installed it was instantly 100 times faster with downloads and gaming even from across the house. one major issue with the old router it didn't have a far reach and you would lose connection. this router was the right choice and I'm so glad I finally have a reliable wifi connection.

This unit in conjunction with an extender fixed the issues. This unit also gives me the ability to block access to several inappropriate topics and set time limits, among other security related features. Super easy setup and up to this point, zero down time.

It has a lot of built in features, like dlna, FTP, network sharing of usb devices. Has two USB ports. Speed is great, the user interface is good. You can even run a speed test from the web interface and can set up external access to the router, it can set up a guest network as well

You get what you pay for

I went from a Netgear N900 to this. Not impressed, even though it is supposed to be technologically more advanced. Don't waste $$ on this item. Spend the extra money and get something better.

We have two gamers living at home and have 4 devices on WIFI almost all the time, since we added this router we have had no issues with connections or internet speed.

Would like some additional options above the FTP for being able to access content from the internet. This is 2013, we should have SFTP minimum.

The ability to function at top range, quality, and speed over 2.4 and 5 is really helpful. Wish it had been a little cheaper (it probably will drop in price once the brand new stuff gets all the bugs out) but I am very pleased and glad I invested in it.
