I purchased this Wifi adapter for my parent's desktop because I don't want to buy a long Ethernet cable to connect the desktop to the router. This wifi adapter is easy to install to the desktop and the connection is perfect, really smooth connection and we have never experience any disconnection from the wifi.

This wireless network adapter does the job! Nothing too fancy, but the speeds are just fine. Windows identified and installed the drivers automatically, and we were able to get connected to the WiFi fairly quickly.

I like the product since it supports 802.11ac. I got substantial speed using it. I did not like the fact that it is very bulky. I have a wall mount PC that this would just not work in so I went ahead and bought a micro AE6000 adapter to fix that problem. I plan to use this original adapter in another location where the large size does not matter as much.

I bought this wireless USB extender to update the technology between the offices at my Church and it is perfect! I installed one on each of the desktop monitors with ease. These USB extenders gave instructions and within a few minutes, each computer was working independently. I would purchase this model again.

I've used it for nearly a month and have had no issues at all with it. Set up was easy. It does expect you to have a CD ROM available to install drivers, but they were easy enough to find online. Overall very pleased with it.

I had an older computer and was so tired of always having the wires in the way to connect it to the internet. A good friend suggested this so I went and bought it. Totally worked! It does have to be in the open to pick up the signal, but that's not a problem since my computer tower had a front USB plug-in. Makes life a lot simpler.

I selected this unit with the help of the Best Buy professional in the area. He assured me that it would be easy to set up and use, and he was right. It is a simple plug-in, and so much advanced from the drudgery of connecting with my old Linksys unit. It provides you with access with virtually no fuss and can be set up in a few minutes at most.

Works well even on a 'not so great' router. The area outside my home that I need to work from sometimes even loses wifi but I've managed to reconnect on Win 10 pretty easy. Installation was a breeze & so far this adapter hasn't let me down.

I got a new wireless router from my ISP that included 802.11ac. My previous wireless adapter only used 802.11n so an upgrade was in order. The store personnel were extremely helpful and I purchased the LinkSys adapter. It was so easy to install and provides the max speed available from the router.

Turned my weak windows 10 notebook into a powerful Linux box but needless to say the drivers were proprietary to windows so the laptop wireless would not work..but Linux noticed this device right away! Definitely a firm believer of all Linksys devices because they never have a problem

Had two computers with older wifi adapters. Bought this, took only a few minutes to set up, and instantaneously I was maxing out at the top speed offered by our Uverse plan on both computers (just moved the adapter from one computer to the other).
Make sure to set driver to ac in device manager for best results.

We switched to a Google WI FI for our internet services and my Dell laptop which is around 5 years old could not connect under the old LINKSYS N300 USB Adapter. I upgraded to this USB 3,0 Adapter and now I am getting internet services. The old N300 LINKSYS was
USB 2.0.

I did not have good expectations for this item to work. I tried an item from Amazon, which did not work as well. For reasons unknown, my Windows laptop was not allowing me to connect to Wifi networks broadcasting on 5Ghz channels anymore, when it used to with no issues. (Either a Windows update modified the settings, or the cable provider is using a 5Ghz channel only, instead o 2.4/5Ghz channels)
But the Best Buy agent assured me it would work...and he was right. I was able to use the USB dongle to connect to my cable provider's wifi network outside my home, and at a friend's home I visit frequently.
If you are having problems connecting to Wifi, I recommend this item.
The only issues I have is the item is large and I had to position it on a leftside USB port, as using the right ones made it tricky to use the mouse...and it can get quite warm when used for extended periods of time.

This was easy to set up with the included drivers on an older desktop Windows 10 system. System was originally using another very small USB NIC that was constantly disconnecting. This one solved the problem. Only issue is that I wish it was half the size. It sticks out a bit In the back.

I was paying my local internet company for 100 mbps. All of my devices including smart phones and gaming consoles were getting close to that amount of speed. However, my laptop was stuck around 15mbps. My internet company said it was because my laptop was older. They suggested I buy this product. I ordered this product and after the install and a reboot, my 15 mbps connection instantly got up to 90 mbps. Same computer, same network. Nothing changed except adding this device. I am amazed. I figured this would improve me to maybe 25 mbps (which would have been a win), but I never expected to jump up to 90 mbps.

I've been using a wifi adapter that only allows me to connect to 2.4 GHz band, it eventually kicked the bucket. Bought this and I'm able to connect to my 5 GHz now which is awesome. I've had it for almost 2 weeks, no problems and it works great.
If you don't have internet connectivity and have no way to insert a CD into your computer, you WILL need to download the software on a different computer with a CD drive or from the Linksys site and move the files onto your computer via a thumb drive or something. I managed to connect long enough with my malfunctioning wifi adapter to download the software from the site to use this new adapter because I don't have a CD drive.

I've been overall pretty pleased with this adapter. Speeds approach those of my wired connections. That said...recently, I have been having to remove and reinsert the adapter after booting up the computer. For some reason the adapter is not recognized occasionally during boot.
