Great dd-wrt router option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit at clearance sale price to secure my "smart home" (that has 20+ internet connected devices), using dd-wrt firmware conversion and NordVPN (at router level). Chose this over WRT1900AC since my wireless setup is through another downstream router (gigabit ethernet via dd-wrt is all I needed for my setup). Tested unit on initial setup with stock Linksys firmware, which unit upgraded automatically on first boot. Setup was very easy, as was product registration. Had no trouble with dd-wrt conversion and NordVPN tech support has been great for the few questions that remained using NordVPN setup instructions. Other than the expected internet speed reduction from always-on VPN, which was more than I initially anticipated, the whole setup works great!

Well priced with a lot of features

It was fairly simple to setup, and has great signal strength. The only complaint I have is the router's size. If it's size were cut in half, 5 stars.
