The dual bands work really well as i have the 5ghz for the main devices (computers, roku, apple tv, etc) and I assign the 2.4ghz for phones, ipads, etc. I had a cheaper brand and had to return it as it wasn't nearly as strong. This one definitely does the trick

My First 'AC' Router

I've had it for about 2 months and so far it is rock solid. The increased performance from my old N router is very noticeable! I only wish that the stock firmware offered more grainular control.
