I did receive this router as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback* . Been using the AC1200 router for 2 weeks now and its been great. It has a quick and easy setup as soon as you connect to the network either wirelessly or with a cord that is provided. It hasn't dropped connection once and I've noticed either an increase in speed or no drop in speeds. With my old router when others would use the internet Netflix would have to keep loading but I haven't had that issue since I hooked up this router. My xbox one is running smooth on the 5GHz connection which is really my main care when it comes to signal, speed, and connectivity lol. Which in the settings you can set certain devices to have priority over other devices to reduce lag, great feature. Overall I'm happy and its a great router! It has only been two weeks so ill post a comment on my review if it goes downhill.

We are very pleased with this router. Set up was the easiest of any router we've used. Performance has been excellent. We are using it so far with two smartphones, a tablet and a laptop. My wife uses the laptop to connect to a VPN for working with Access databases and large Excel spreadsheets, downloading from a server and sending out on emails. She finds the speeds with the router to be as fast as those she enjoys at work. We have streamed TV shows and movies from several sites, at the richest content levels, smoothly. We received this router at no charge for review purposes, but we would have been just as pleased with it at full market price. The unit is attractive, but because we have always kept our router in an alcove, we tend to focus less on aesthetics, more on performance.

I have waited several months, after purchase, to review this router because I wanted to make sure there were no issues once it was set up. The setup was very easy and even changing items within the router settings were easy to do. (I always like to turn broadcasting off for added security) The setup should be relatively easy right from the start. More importantly, the range of this router turned out to be excellent and the reliability thus far has been great. The family has been using it for several months now and have found no issues with connection or distance within the house to be any problem. If you are searching for a reliable and easy router to use and setup, and priced within reason, this Linksys router should be just the one you are looking for.

My wife asked the salesman which router to buy and he recommended the one she bought which was not powerful enough and we had to buy another one. We got stuck with the first one

Bought it on sale, very difficult to install, need expert to do it. Would not recommend it to anyone who is not a true geek. Savings wasted by needing an expert.

bought this router based on product reviews. streaming videos worked nicely. but when i tried to play my online games I couldnt stay connected to the internet.

Purchased this Linksys router to replace an older, slower model and the difference in speed and reliability is noticeable.

I'm upgrading from a linksys wrt120n which I'd had for 5+ years. Its range was limited and it really struggled with multiple devices at the same time. I tinkered with it periodically but eventually gave up. The moral is this: as an average, not overly picky consumer, the wrt1200ac has been great. Everything is just that much faster. And above all, no more dropped signals in the house. Still exploring all the features, but so far so good.

I received this product a couple of weeks ago in exchange for an honest review. So far I've noticed that it does amplify the wifi signal in my home. It increases internet speed by about 15 mbps in the places it didn't reach well before. It's also very easy to set up. You basically plug it into an outlet and it's good to go. My provider is fiber optic and the router is in my basement. I placed the extender in my upstairs hallway and it really improved signal upstairs. I noticed the biggest difference on my phone. The only problem I've found is that if you're into gaming, lagging occurs more often when connected to this extender.

I am now able to use multiple devices plus stream MLB TV with no break-up or freezing. It was very easy to set-up. I like the ap for total control and monitoring that comes with it.

You have to be in the same room to get good Wi-Fi reception. Very disappointed with this item.

Works for few hours then stop working. Even the wired one. Return and get a nighthawk.

Returned my Belkin & got a Linksys instead. Belkin took 3 hours to determine their unit was defective, and WORSE, all 3 techs were from India and simply could not speak understandable English. Linksys techs walked me through set-up in a breeze and actually spoke English. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE.

This router covers my entire 2,000 sq ft house without a problem. Every room has excellent speed. We usually run at least 3 streaming devices at any given time and everything runs smoothly.

I purchased Verizon Fios 50/50 Internet (No TV) the other day. They ran an ethernet cable directly inside to the computer from the outside box with no modem/router in between. I purchased this from my local best buy and with a little help from the great Linkys tech support team I was up and running within an hour. The wireless signal is strong (powering six different devices in my house), and the software is very easy to work with. The router itself was also very easy to mount to the wall. The best part is I won't be paying Verizon $10 per month to rent their router. I'll be saving money and won't need to return any equipment if/when I move on from Fios.

Well I haven't bought a new router in a while. But recently my D-Link 655 has been acting up with lots of drop outs. I read various reviews and purchased this one and it has been an upgrade in many ways. I was mainly concerned about connection and distance. The range of coverage has been increased and with the 5ghz capabilities, certain devices are faster now. Set up was easy and therefore I definitely recommend this product.

Based of my past Linksys products, this Router should be rugged and reliable. This router was an evaluation model provided at no cost. It was easy to install in 30 minutes and was up and running. Tweaking it to fit ones individual needs will take a little longer. It has a 5 db increase on signal strength through out the house. And no reboots so far.

I pretty much picked this product at random. I knew I needed a wireless router but didn't much about them. I didn't feel comfortable choosing a less expensive router so I picked one with the belief that you get what you pay for. This one was mid-priced. Anyway, setup is very easy. Works perfectly. I have a laptop, a ps4, a ps3, and a pc using this router. When playing online with the ps4, the connection is so good that I would swear that it has a direct line. I recommend this product.

This router is absolutely the best thing to ever happen!!!!! It was time for an upgrade and with so many options for wireless routers out there I did not know which one to choose! But I'm glad I chose this one it's a classic brought back on steroids!!! I live in a two story concrete block house over 3000 sqft big!!! And this router gives me full bars in all 5 rooms!!!!!!!! Point blank this router is the best, it's from the best LINKSYS!!! (Even though Cisco is in the middle)

I received the unit as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. The CD was defective, but I never needed it. Even a distracted single Dad can set this up on school night. I disabled the WiFi on my ISP's router, followed the instructions to connect this unit, gave it the same name as my previous Wifi. Most of my Wifi clients connected right up. Some had to "forget" the old and connect to the new. (I don't broadcast) All of the security settings were already set to the level I previously had to configure on the ISP router. The router is at one end of a ranch style home and provides service to the other end, front porch and back porch. I downloaded.the "Smart Wifi" app to my Android phone and can use it to control the router. Parental control is a breeze. I could never get parental control to work with the ISP router or DD-WRT on an older router. (My kids are learning to read!!!). I still don't have port forwarding set up to remote desktop my work PC. Maybe this weekend. I also have been unable (so far) to get "Internet Usage" feature to work. I'll dig into that soon.
