I received this product as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. Minimal assembly needed, download app to phone, plug in where app tells you and then connect to your wifi. Done. Very easy.

I received the WRT 1200AC router to evaluate and replace an aging router. Setup on this router was simple, I just plugged the router into my cable modem and reset the cable modem. I then followed the Setup Wizard and within minutes I was online. The WiFi signal on this router reaches my entire house and the speeds are fantastic. Using the SmartWiFi App I can control my router and all of its settings remotely. I enabled the DNLA media server and connected a USB drive with Movies, Music and Pictures to the USB port on the router. I can now stream all my media to any room in the house without any additional software. There is no buffering of the media content. I definitely recommend this router to anyone looking to upgrade.

This is the best router I have ever owned. I came from another brand and the connection was never stable. This one does almost everything I need it to do without complaint.

I am writing this review because I received this router as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. After receiving the WRT1200AC I didn't use the supplied CD to set up the router, I set it up manually. The setup was a breeze as it is with all of the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Routers. The major difference that I notice right away and really liked was the change from the Device List to the Network Map, but if you have more devices than the page can handle it will create multiple page for the Network Map. With the Network Map you are able to do the following: 1. Filter the Map by 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, LAN and Not connected devices. 2. Each device connected to the network has an indicator to let the administrator know how the device is connected, example (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, LAN or Not Connected) 3. Rename and make changes to the DHCP Reserved List. 4. Change the icons to indicate the type of device connected to the network, example (Smartphone, Smart TV, Web Camera, Tablet, Desktop, Laptop, etc.) Another change added to the WRT1200AC was the ability to create a VPN, something that I didn't do with this particular router. After having the router connected for about 5 days it was obvious that my connected devices were running very slow and buffering a lot. I was having to reboot the router or shutting it down completely several times a day. After doing this my connected devices work just fine. I did this for about 5 days or so and then disconnected the WRT1200AC router and reconnect my previous Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router. I am going to wait for Linksys to update the firmware on the WRT1200AC router before I reconnect it to my network.

The Parental control feature was the purpose for this Smart WiFi purchase so access time and content could be controlled. However, it only can block http, not https, so not helpful since most of the bad content as well as Google and Facebook, is https. The instructions are not clear, and you have to reboot for any changes to take place. Hence it is very difficult to know if you have blocked a child without testing it out every time you use wireless. We finally had to just turn off internet in the router for the guest and use the PC controls rather than the router to limit access to the computer. It does not do well what it is intended to do. It is just a basic router.

I received this as a free sample from Linksys in exchange for an honest review. My Linksys wireless router is in the office on the 3rd level of my home. While I received a signal on the lower levels, it was less than optimal. With the Linksys AC1200 wi-fi range extender, I get maximum signal in every room, on every level, even outside on the deck. Setup was simple. Just plug it in and check the app to see if it's in the best location. If not, just move to a different outlet and check again. Would recommend to anyone with wi-fi "deadzones" in their home.

Works Great and reaches outside of my home and reaches where my previous router couldn't. Would recommend to fellow consumers.

First, I must mention that Linksys provided a free USB adapter for me to test in return for an honest review. Second, although this is a router page on Best Buy, this is the place I was told to post my review. Third - the revies. I've only had this a few days, but it installed in Windows 10 with zero issues, and (at close range to my wireless router) it has throughput as good as my wired Ethernet connection. I've noticed no glitches or performance hits.

Installing was a problem. my home set up requires that I run from modem through my Ooma VOIP . As install instructions were very vague it required I call support. Support was great ( but cost me $10 ?). After router installed was very easy to link my network of tablets, printers , tv, etc and streaming tv is fast. Overall a very nice router.

After testing this for a week now I am very happy with it. The range is good, the setup is easy and the interface is very nice and uncomplicated. Much better than my previous router and seems to have less connection issues. Everything connected extremely easily with the exception of my D-Link Smart Plugs. I found the WRT1200AC Duel-Band Wi-Fi Router an excellent product. The setup is very straightforward. The Linksys website made the setup process very easy with its step-by-step Q & A format. The unit has four ethernet slots and both a 2.5 GHz and 5.0 GHz wi-fi speeds. I installed the unit on the first floor and have excellent wi-fi service on the third floor. I heartily recommend this router to anyone needing a reliable wi-fi network at home.

Linksys really swayed me over to the other side. I used to be a die hard NetGear fan for many years but after a series of faulty/failing NetGear routers I decided to give Linksys a try based on the recommendation of a tech support guy from my ISP. SO very happy I did. I received a free sample from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback but have been buying only Linksys ever since. Give it a try, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

As part of the linkysys program I received this router from the company and was asked to give an honest review. Before going into the my opinion of the router I would like to add that I wish more companies like Linkysys would be more productive in wanted to know what their customers honestly thought of their products. There are too my fake or half hearted reviews these days online that it's so hard to buy a product that truly is worth it. That said, this router had a robust performance, enhanced processor, easy set up and provided fast download and upload speed. Worked fast with anything plugged into the USB port. Now here comes the big drawback and why 3 stars was given. All of those features were great when it actual worked. It was not broken or damaged but the reliability of the router was poor. After a firmware upgrade it kept freezing or dropping the signal. I constantly had to reset or restart it. Usually upgrading the firmware fixed these problems but unfortunately it did not. I only hope that they come out with a fix to this problem. Whether it was the router it self or the software that the router works with I do not know.

We needed a new router and wanted one easy to set up. This fit the need.

It has strong signal strength (5 bars) throughout my 4500 sq. ft. house.
