This Wi-Fi router is so easy to set up. Most of the standard security settings are already set up for you by default. All you need do is change the password and then get your Wi-Fi devices connected to this. I'm able to get my PC, Laptop, Smart TV, and Printer all wireless connected with ease. It works like a charm!

This Wireless router was on sale for about $80 and so far has worked flawlessly except for a few issues that I feel are based on the features available of the router and the placement in my home. Biggest issue is signal strength before I bought this product. I have an AC900 Device before this from DLINK which wouldn't even reach upstairs to my Wireless extender and constantly dropped connection even when directly plugged into my TV. This router stopped that from happening but still didn't prioritize traffic as it claimed on the box. Instead this is something that has to be manually setup in the settings per device IP address. Setting my TV on a DMZ also allowed it to update without the firmware being blocked by the device. Also, any wireless extenders had to be approved by the router in the settings. It wouldn't allow redirected traffic without creating that rule. Once this issue was figured out and a better placement of the router was found It worked great. Though it still loses connection with my extended network which may be related to the extender and not this box.

I was returning my all-in-one modem/router to Xfinity to avoid the $10/month fee. A Best Buy rep at the store recommended this router along with a separate cable modem saying the separate units were more advanced and the speed faster than what I had been using. I feel, however, that my wireless connection is not as consistent as it used to be and I am having second thoughts about this purchase.

After five or six years of having our previous router, it started to fail, and needed a new unit. To our surprise this new unit more than doubled the download speed of our previous router, and was about $20 less than than earlier router. The software to set up the router was easy in creating account name and password, which was very helpful.

This survived the Harvey Flood and still works great with no issues. Allows to monitor users and put restrictions for the kiddos. Great range too. Customer service friendly too. Difficult setting up tough and I'm a computer tech. Be prepared to spend at least an hour with tech support.

    Horrible performance on low band

I have always been a fan of Linksys until getting this router. Out of the box, the setup was remarkably easy and the 5ghz channel has awesome performance but that is where the praise ends. The range of this model is horrible. Performance on the low band is pathetic. I pay for 105 MB internet speed and I easily get that on the high band however you have to have a device capable of using the high band and most laptops, ipads, smart TVs, game systems etc can't use the high band. I have a desktop computer that uses the high band and it is awesome. Performance on the low band is comparable to very slow DSL. Literally the 1MB DSL. We worked with Linksys on getting this resolved and they provided a firmware patch that did nothing to improve the performance of the low band (did help the high band a lot). Linksys said that our unit is defective and I suppose I agree. This unit is a fail for me.

This device will easily handle your Wi-Fi needs in any 1-2 story house under 2,000sqf. The price is quite affordable for all the features it offers. If you have a lot of concurrent users, a larger house and would like to optimal wireless connection you may need to consider purchasing a high-end wireless router instead.
