For example, the instructions say the light with turn white...it doesn't, it turns green. And the reset button is in a different place than pictured. Also, we needed to install the app to get it set-up. Once it was set up, works great.

I'm kind of disappointed. I guess I had to high of expectations. I did read a lot of reviews before buying it so I thought it would be faster. We can't get signals in our basement very well and it buffers all the time. I may have to either call the manufacture or take it back. I think I'll hook up my old one and get the same results. :/

• Adjust the router’s wireless channel to avoid possible interference in your network. Use the Wi-Fi analyzer app. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.

Decent router strength in multi level house

Our house has a metal roof, but the coverage still seems to be minimal. However, on a side note, your antenna direction MATTERS. If you're lacking in coverage in one area or have too much gain in another, be sure to adjust which ways your antennas face to change that. The administrator interface is simplistic and the customization is worth the money. I highly recommend this device.

Yes, it's true that your metal roof and positioning of the antennas would impact your Wi-Fi range, however, you may also try assigning fixed channels to what works best with your current network environment. For the 2.4 GHz band, try channels 1, 6, 9 and 11, and channels 36, 40, 44 and 48 for the 5 GHz. Should you need a hand, don't hesitate to contact us directly at [email protected], anytime.
