One is configured as a gateway and the second is serving as a wireless access point and hub for my devices on a separate floor of my house. My access point router died and I so I tried to replace it with this one. I tried for hours to get it to work and it just refused to work the same way in my network as the Netgear unit it replaced. I took this unit back and exchanged it for an Asus router at the same price. The Asus router is only 802.11n, not 802.11ac, but I had it setup and working perfectly on my network in about 10 minutes. So far, so good on the Asus router... I think this router would work out just fine on a network with a single router. The basic setup options a simple to understand and configure and digging into the advanced options gives a lot of options for manual configuration too.
