When we installed it using those steps, we got our PCs to connect to our internet satellite service, but the two wireless printers in our house would NOT work. The only thing in our home's computer system that had changed was the router, so that caused the problem with the printers. We tried several things, asked friends, and finally had a retired physicist friend of ours who was a network project specialist help us, and he spent at least three hours at our house getting our printers to work. That was a frustrating experience and definitely not doable in several simple steps. More complete instructions need to be supplied with the router in anticipation of problems like we encountered.

Setting up the router should be easy. Once it was successfully configured, you can synchronize the printer’s network settings with that of your router. You can tweak some settings on your router to improve the wireless signal. Here’s how it’s done: http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleNum=140309. If the router operates at 32 to 104°F (0 to 40°C), then there’s no need to worry.
