So now I am very happy with the Linksys AC1200+ router that I purchased instead. So far there has been no problems whatsoever.

Wired ports are 10/100. USB port is 2.0. Non-removable antennas. BOTTOM LINE The Linksys EA6100 is an affordable dual-band router that delivers good 2.4GHz throughput, but 5GHz performance comes up short, and its features are underwhelming.

Easy to install, short range

After a quick install it was up and running. The only critique I have is that the range seems short. We have this in a small, one level house. It is only 45 feet from one end to the other. The signal at the far end of the house is quite low.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router's default DNS setting (0.0.0.0) can't be overridden with alternate DNS servers. The settings simply don't stick. Linksys admits the problem and suggests rolling back the firmware or setting up DNS manually on each client PC. Instead of such nonsense, I'm rolling the router back to the store. Linksys "smart" means "assume the user is stupid."
