If you buy this, make sure you test it in your particular home layout to see if it will meet your needs. It did not meet ours and we returned it.

Only pushing out up to 10mps which I needed more to stream on an older roku and tablet That cannot connect on the 5 GHz band. Other than that worked fast and was getting 80mps on the faster band

You can tweak the wireless channel of the router to avoid possible interference in your network. The preferred wireless channels for the 2.4 GHz band are 1, 6, and 11 since they’re considered non-overlapping channels. Supposedly, setting up the WRT1200AC is made easy using the Smart Setup Wizard which is embedded in the firmware and is available even if the router does not have an Internet connection.
