It has been moved out into the hallway and still delivers about 30% of my modems actual speed...and I'm about 30 feet away. Taking it back today.

Signal interference may be the cause of your slow Wi-Fi speed. Before you take the router back, we suggest that you set a static wireless channel on the routers Wi-Fi settings and relocate the device to the center of your home to get an even coverage.
