I purchased this router specifically for the parental control ..well , the software doesn't work . I have spoken with Linksys , they acknowledge have a problem and are trying to resolve it . In the meantime , I bought a product that is defective . I could have bought a downgrade for what this offers. I would not recommend purchasing this particular model .

Paperwork / cd that comes with product to set up is a complete disaster. Have customer service to call but good luck there too ! Can't understand them as well as they do not understand English. Still have not gotten issues resolved.

I have a very specific use case scenario for networking hardware and this didn't meet it so I took it back. I'm sure it's great for general use but word to the wise: It doesn't support SMB3

If you want an AC connection with this piece of junk you will need to be within five feet or so. Is there a wall between you? Then no chance. you might get one megabit. I deeply regret wasting so much money on this piece of trash and its companion "AC" 1200 USB adapter. I put AC in quotation marks because I only got an AC connection once, and I had to get up and walk to within five feet of the router even though I was in the same room. If you are thinking of buying this just put it down and walk away. I may update this review to let you know what I end up buying in its stead.

This replaced a 7 year old Linksys router that we loved. So far this one is great. The range far exceeds our old router and the speed seems to be very good too. The set up was the best part. No more typing ip addresses or choosing WP2 security protocols. Just plug it and walk through the wizard. Give it a name and a password and you're all set. Supper slick.

Not a good router for a large home with multiple connections. Had to return the router and exchange for a more powerful one. This Linksys - 802.11ac Smart Wi-Fi Gigabit Router may be very good for a smaller home?

Had a Netgear router for 8 years worked great. Great streaming, great iPad and iPhone capability. Netgear router failed. Salesman at Best Buy said this router was better. Not! Piece of junk.

Unit was inoperative after one week. This is the second unit that will not connect with the ISP.

I purchased because of good reviews and at a low price. It did not work, devices would continuously lose connection. Had to return it.

Had good reviews, but after purchasing it and looking it over more thoroughly, I didn’t have confidence that it would work in my home.

It works great after I bought it, but afterwards it stopped working. Signal kept disconnecting. Works for about 2 years not a problem.

Purchased new router in order to improve connection to wifi problems. Still experiencing same problems.

Does not work with TWC which requires a coaxial input (which this unit does not have). Probably great if you don't need that type of input.

When more than one person is gaming on this, it drops someone almost inevitably. Even when hard wired!!! So when I restart it by unplugging it, every time I plug it back in, the status LED keeps flashing and never gets internet again. So I need to do an ENTIRE factory reset every time I want to restart it. Not to mention when the power goes out. This router is awful!

Purchased after cable company stopped providing wi-fi to our business, which was great because their hardware was unreliable. Much more reliable network, great transfer speeds between devices including a networked storage raid device, it can handle all traffic with ease. At any one time we can have up to 15 wireless and wired devices connected and experience no issues. All-in-all, great buy, highly recommend.

Bought this router to replace the internal router in my Comcast modem router combo(placed in bridge mode).With the help of "Linksys" technical support the router was up and running in less than 10 minutes! The technical support was awesome! It was so easy to do. Just called Comcast tech. support and asked them to disable router in Comcast combo. so no conflict would occur when separate router(Linksys) was connected. The range and speed of the new router was amazing. The original Comcast combo speed was less than 1megbytes /sec. @ 40 ft (going through walls in house). The new setup was 79megbytes/sec.@40ft. WOW! What a difference. The Comcast combo with phone jack(which I needed for phone service) sucks but is the only one available which will work with Comcast system, so that is why I had to go this route.Great router for $100.00 @ Best Buy.

I bought this router and soon after regretted not spending $100 more on a mesh system.

Bought it and then returned it after we tried it. When I went into the office it was no coverage and even worse downstairs

2 different ones went out within less than a yr of buying a new one

Had a lot of problems with this and had to replace it.
