To be honest I've never really been a fan of Linksys. Had a few Products before that had some major issues but I got a really good deal on this router. At first I was quite skeptical about the router but honestly the install was super easy, It came loaded with features that anyone would be able to understand, and It has run very well since install! There are 3 games in the house and we all constantly stream music, videos, and play games usually simultaneously and never have issues even running on 50 Mbps internet service. This is indicative of the router's ability to process multiple requests and give out the proper amount of data needed at the time. ultimately this is a great product and quiet honestly this had renewed my faith in Linksys!

I received this router to test and review from Linksys Friends and Family. Pros: *Easy setup *Well laid out configuration menu *Performance Cons: None yet. The setup was a breeze. I haven't had one easier. It uses WPA2/WPA mixed Personal security settings by default and is set to update firmware automatically. All kinds of settings for the advanced users. My Blu-ray player doesn't freeze when on Netflix anymore and my wife's Facebook games run much better now, this is only on the 2.4Ghz band. I tested a file download using my laptop and desktop. File is on a shared network drive and is 35MB in size. Using built in wireless G on laptop it took 14.17 seconds. Using Linksys AC1200 adaptor on 5Ghz band it took 4.87 seconds. Using my desktop with wired 1Ghz it took 2.17 seconds. I also like the ability to use my smart phone to log into the router from anywhere when someone is having a problem with internet when I'm not home.

    Amazing Next Gen Router

I am a tech person that all of my friends and family come to for tech advice, so I am a tough critic. I received this router through the free Linksys Friends and Family review program for my honest feedback and it was right on time as my old router was dying. This router is GREAT with the dual band set up so numerous people can have all of their devices connected at the same time with no lag. It has great range and speedy service which I love as I steam movies through chrome cast on my 4k tv with no problem. When I have people over it is a breeze as I am on one channel and they are on the other and no one complains. This is great, I would have purchased this myself if it was not for the program, I advise you get this router for the future if you stream a lot and are on the web with multiple devices. Much better than what you will get from the cable company. Pull the trigger and Buy it!!

    Much better than the EA6500

First off, I need to say: I received a free sample of this router from Linksys in exchange for my honest feedback. I've had multiple Linksys routers over the years. The last router I purchased was the Linksys EA6500. Setup of this router only took about six minutes. I was very impressed how smoothly it actually went. I had multiple hiccups in the past trying to setup Linksys Cloud routers but this time there was no issue. In my old configuration I had two routers to cover the house due to router not being able to handle video streaming, game consoles, and tablets. I now have 20 devices running on one router. So far there has not been any lag or choppiness. Overall I'm very satisfied with this router.

Much faster than my old router.

This router replaces my old router, which must be at least five years old -- it's probably a few years older than that. While my old router was a one-band 2.4 GHz router, this also has a 5.0 GHz band, which provides much better Wi-Fi speeds than 2.4 GHz can achieve. My desktop computer is hard-wired to the router, and it was exactly as fast with the new Linksys router as it was with my old router. And the 2.4 GHz connections were about the same speed as my old router, at about half the speed of the hard-wired connection. But when I switched over to the 5 GHz band, the Wi-Fi speeds immediately jumped up to the same, full speed that the wired network provided -- so that was a vast improvement for all of my Wi-Fi devices. The Linksys router was very easy to set up -- it just took me a few minutes to do things like giving my networks the names I wanted to use, and to set up new passwords for the Wi-Fi networks. I've only had the router and had it up and running for a few days, so I can't speak about reliability, but "so far, so good." I'll report back if I wind up having any problems. About the only criticism I can make regarding this router is that it's rather large compared to my old router, which was a small, vertically-oriented unit, while this is much larger, with a horizontal orientation. It simply takes up a bit more shelf space than my old router did. But otherwise, I'm certainly enjoying the much faster Wi-Fi speeds it provides.

    Very fast, stable router

I was using a TP-Link AC router, which I had to reboot once or twice a week. The internet connections would seem to slow to a crawl, both with the 5 GHz and especially with the 2.4 GHz bands. With the 2.4 GHz devices (older iPods and a couple of inexpensive tablets), browsing the internet seemed to be almost as slow as dial-up internet access. When I received this Linksys AC1900 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router, I was expecting the same complexity in setup as I had eperienced with the TP-Link router. WOW, What a difference! I had this router up and running in less than 15 minutes, including the routers update time. I have been using this router for approximately 2 weeks now, and have not had to reboot it once. The throughput had been very quick, including the 2.4 GHz band. I couldn't be more pleased. I received this router as a free sample in return for an honest review.

    Solid home router

All around, this is a pretty solid router for home use. The range is great with 3 antennas. It comes with a pretty good number of Ethernet ports (4 Ethernet + 1 to connect to the Internet). The setup was fairly straightforward, with 3 wireless networks available out of the box. There is a 2.4 GHz network, a 5 GHz network and a guest network. Note that you'll need a device with a compatible network adapter to utilize the full bandwidth they advertise with wireless 802.11 AC. If you have an older device, you'll probably be limited to the 802.11 N (or slower) speeds, which is probably faster than most consumer Internet connections anyway. Although, I'm not a fan of the Internet-connected Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tool, it is good for less technical users, and it allows you to control the network from a smartphone app. The only complaint I have about this router is that I could not get it to work in bridge mode over an Ethernet power line adapter. I wanted to use it as a secondary access point in my basement with the primary router on the top floor. It would not recognize the Internet connection despite trying everything I could find online. Probably a less common use case, but frustrating nonetheless. Overall, this router has been pretty solid, and I'd recommend it to others.

Absolutely a Must for a Smart Home

This wireless router performs great! I've had it for a couple of days and have to say that it has exceeded my expectations. Our home is full of wireless devices. My son likes to stream cartoons and I use the internet for school related work. We get, on average, 166mbps download speeds and 12.17mbps upload speeds using this router. It has held up great with all of our devices, and the best thing about it...It is a "plug-and-play" instal! I took it right out of the box and was streaming in no time. The set-up menu pops open when you open your browser. It consists of a few simple questions, and you're ready to go! Anyone can do it! Another great thing about it is that you can create an account so that you can have access to the router's set-up menu from anywhere. This is very convenient for me, as I was not able to do this with my previous router. I love having access to all of my devices from anywhere I go. I'd image this being convenient for anyone on the go. If you are looking for a new router...look no more. You can't go wrong with this one. My previous TP-Link router is old archaic technology compared to this one. The only downside to this would be that it's slightly bulky, but that's not a problem for me. I would highly recommend this router to anyone.

This router is very fast and has been very reliable. The setup and control is extremely easy through Linksys Smart Wi Fi. I have had some minor issues but their customer service has been outstanding. The only con would be that it still has some range limitations in the house.

    Why worry about Drops ?

Seriously. I've had this for over 6 months already and it works perfectly. Distance is good, I mean even though it has 3 antennas Doesn't mean its gonna reach a 2 Mile bro Other then that no drops. (Netflix, Kodi, Youtube, Games, you name it we do it. Deep Web, whatever) Network Configuration is easy as Pie Dual Band is great (5ghz is awesome for someone who wants the whole band for themselves;) [ Dont know what the difference is? go here: http://www.howtogeek.com/222249/whats-the-difference-between-2.4-ghz-and-5-ghz-wi-fi-and-which-should-you-use/ ] Also if you dont get MU-MIMO (cuz I Kinda dont) it just means your smart home ready aka 40+ devices. because I had New Years eve party and put the Guest Password up so I can see everyones MAC addresses and it worked perfect! so this thing is lit. buy it. (fun fact: I actually hooked this up with my Cox Modem/Router and it actually works fine guys.)

This was one of the first times I have really read reviews extensively about an electronic device prior to purchasing. For years our Wi-Fi has cut in and out randomly and I finally had enough recently. After mostly positive reviews I decided to give this Linksys router a try and it exceeds my expectations. Set up was a breeze, however the first night it seemed to cut in and out. This was a rare glitch as it has not happened in weeks now. Our internet is also drastically faster than before. Our last router never exceeded 52Mbps. This router is currently delivering 144Mbps with the router being on the other side of the house on a different floor. Couldn't be happier with this purchase and highly recommend.

This is an easy to set up and use high end router! After plugging it in and letting apply the update, it was good to go. Easy to set up and works great with better range than my Netgear router. The web access and the IOS App make it very simple to manage all aspects of the router, Great purchase!

    Better Dual Band Router

I got this Linksys EA7500 Dual band router under Linksys Friends + Family Program for my honest review. This router has a better range than the ISP provided one. I like the detailed configuration available for this Router using the Smartwifi feature, including the parental control and Guest accounts. I felt the router took more time for first time firmware update. Creating specific network name for each band is a great, this helps to decide the band based on usage type. Even though it looks bulky, I like the 3 antenna look of it. Signal strength is great even at the far end of my house. I recommend this Router if you need the flexibility of dual channel and range, for a mid size house.

I received this router free in exchange for an honest review, and it has good signal strength, you can have up to 12 devices connected to it at the same time. The set up for me, is still being worked on, but I will figure it out. I'm also using it as an extension of my current wireless signal in the hard to reach areas.

This router replaced an old TP-LINK single-band router which topped out at 300 Mbps. When replacing hardware for your wireless set-up, it is important to note the actual speeds you're getting. My speeds were virtually unchanged. I contacted my service provider and found out that it is because of the speed I'm paying for. Things are a little snappier on all of my dual-band devices, but nothing dramatic. One thing that I am impressed with is the ability to plug in an external storage device to have network storage. I have messed with this on other routers and it was always overly complicated to set up. With this router, just plug in the storage, navigate to "network" in your file browser, and hit refresh. That's it. This is as close to plug-and-play network storage as you're going to get. As a side-note, this is also a relatively attractive device for a router. TL,DR: Your internet service speed is important to note before getting a high-end router like this. That will determine if you see a difference. Network-attached storage set-up couldn't be easier.

So before installing this i had the nighthawk by Netgear. Honestly they work the same but this was a little easier to set up and work with and simpler in term of understand what goes where and not overly complicated crazy instructions. Now, the best part is that my 4K TV runs WAY WAY WAY better with the 5Ghz signal than it did with the Nighthawk and that makes this a better router.

I have a basic internet service and purchasing this router made a big difference in my Wi-Fi experience. Even though I 'downgraded' from an AC3200 to the AC1900, it served it's purpose. $$$ well spent since the connection of all my devices #i.e. PC, tablet, phones# had greatly improved. This router is truly smart since the device will be connected to the right bandwidth. Linksys has done a tremendous job on this router. It's the ONLY WAY to WI-FI, indeed.
