The Linksys Atlas is a Wi-Fi 6 Dual-Band Mesh Router system that is very easy to set up using the Linksys App. Wi-Fi 6 is the latest standard that increases the speed even further. This is not the first Linksys system that I have owned, and the setup experience has always been simple and straight forward. The individual nodes fit in with just about any décor and have a simple modern look that blends in with its surroundings. The two nodes easily provide coverage throughout my 2300 sq ft. house including the back and front yards and garage area. They are rated to cover a 4000 sq. foot area. The AX3000 version comes with two regular size nodes, and you can easily add additional nodes if you need them. Linksys packaging is great, and I have come to expect it from them with everything they sell. Set up: I easily connected the main node via the RJ-45 cable that was included in the packaging and just followed the set-up procedures in the App. The second node was easily connected in the app by just following the directions. You do have the option to wire them with Ethernet if you wish, but mine was a little far away for that to be logical. Performance: My cable modem speed is 400mb down and 20mb up. I am seeing speeds faster than that in the times that I have checked but these can actually handle much faster speeds. I have not noticed any slowdowns or buffering while multiple devices are streaming in our house either. I have about 38 (50 devices are supported with this model) wireless devices that have been connected and as far as I can tell, not one of them has had any issues. I have attempted to max out the system with multiple devices streaming videos with no issues to report there. Features: The app allows you to easily manage your system with some basic functions, however, if you visit the web interface, you have many more options, including the option to create separate 2.4 and 5GHz networks. This feature comes in handy for most of my IoT devices that require a 2.4GHz network to function. You can also set up some priority devices that you want to have the best speed possible, so I just set up my wife’s work PC and her phone to avoid any issues. These also give you the ability to set up a guest Wi-Fi and you can toggle it on or off using Alexa. My guests have been impressed with that feature. Also, you can keep a device from connecting to the network via the apps Parental Controls, and you can manage each device separately with a pause, schedule a pause, or block specific websites features. Over-all, I am very impressed with the speed and ease of use so far with these and you can easily add additional nodes as your needs require them. I have tested speed and number of devices with out any issues so far and I haven’t noticed any odd network drops or coverage problems. For the price, this system provides some good features and the fact that each node has at least 3 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports is a bons for me, and I feel it’s the best way to connect some devices in my house. Linksys provides a 3-year warranty with these so I am sure I will have no problems as nearly everything I have owned from them so far has been solid and just worked for me.

Could be faster, I have gigabit internet and it claims it can do that, but it fails to mention specifically enough that you will only get those speeds through ethernet.

I've had a number of different router brands over the years and I've always had good luck with the Linksys brand. They hold up well. I really like the new mesh systems for more control over your coverage. These are very easy to setup. The wireless link makes them quick to install and easy to play with moving around for the best coverage. The units themselves have a very good range. I installed one in the basement connected to the modem and the other in the garage. The one in the garage reached over half way down the block and still had good speed and connection. It was connected wirelessly to the base unit but I'm planning to run a cable between them to get the best speed. I also like the fact you can add units to your system if you need to expand coverage. These 2 units cover a 2000sqft ranch house with no problem .There are a couple spots in the far section of the yard that are weak so we might add a 3rd unit on the main level to cover the whole property. The setup for these units was quick and easy. Just download the app and input a few things and they are up and running. The app also makes it very easy to monitor the network. You can see what devices are connected, turn guest network on/off, and adjust pretty much all the settings you could need. I'm very impressed with the seamless system and how easy it is to get around. I would highly recommend this system if you're looking to upgrade or start out. The mesh system is definitely the way to go these days for most houses.

So far so good. Using a back-channel Ethernet power line adapter to connect the two nodes. Only downside is Linksys strong-arming to use their app.
