This was a big mistake! The nodes have to be super close and range from a node is horrible. I live in a 2500sqft ranch the Eeros covered with no issue... Linksys Atlas only covers half. Also I thought the Eeros app was limiting.. If you want control over your network pick something else. This is a joke for the price! DO NOT BUY!

We had limited range out to her part of the house and a previously purchased "network extender" was barely operational. After going into a Best Buy store and speaking with a rep there, I was directed to the mesh routers and was told these were "future proofing" a bit for the extra money. I purchased and set them up at my home. All was well and good until we started noticing a lot of rubber banding going on with our internet. We had the ISP company come out several times to try and fix it, we upped our speeds in hopes that would do it, to no avail. Finally I looked more into these routers specifically and found that there's a rather pronounced history around them failing to maintain speeds, even when directly wired in. While I don't expect the rep to know everything about all the products, this is a rather pronounced issue and I would have hoped Best Buy would have the good sense to pull them from sale since they're so problematic in general. Now I'm completely stuck with these things and as I can't afford to replace them anytime soon, I'm stuck and my family has to suffer through a seriously inferior and troublesome product. Stay away from these if you value your time online, they do nothing but frustrate and annoy.

This is totally unexpected as we designed the Linksys MX5503 to provide a dual band connectivity speeds up to a gigabit. Make sure that the connection behind the main modem is stable, use another Ethernet cable in connecting the main node from the modem, relocate or swap the child nodes if connected wirelessly, or check if they are equipped with the latest firmware. Normally, the setup process is straightforward through the Linksys app, but several factors may have caused the challenge in your end. If the normal process still do work, you can try the 5-press setup method instead. Just bring the nodes together and once they are fully booted and in setup mode, press the Reset button located at the bottom of the node that is connected to the modem five times within 5 seconds (do not hold).

Replaced Orbi with the Linksys due to iOT device and 2.4g issues. I had to go through the setup a couple of times. But it was well worth it. Network has been rock solid and fast. Now 2.4 devices that would not connect just work. Orbi has removed any Option of disabling 5g which was extremely annoying. With the Linksys I don’t even need to disable 5g as I believe their band steering is superior to Orbi. I notice also coverage is much better. I replaced a three Orbi system with the three station Linksys and coverage is amazing. The Orbi had dead spots.
