Mesh Wi-Fi
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these during the Black Friday sale and absolutely love them … all my dead spots are a thing of the past. One of the biggest issues I was having was keeping a stable connection to my wifi cameras that were outside .. set this up scattered them through your my house and problem solved full coverage in side and outside … Another thing that’s nice if you need more Nodes to cover lager spaces just go in and add them as needed

great if using as your only router/access points
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System works perfect as long as you use it as your DHCP server. If not and you're looking for a mesh system to use with a router/pi hole DHCP server look into TP-LINK Decos if you want Ethernet backhaul.

Pretty good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have about 50 devices connected and so far it’s pretty good. It still connects to the farthest node for some reason and shows low signal. Lot faster than my orbi. The app is awful though.

Setup wasn't the smoothest but it worked out
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a mesh wifi user since the original velop system since 2017. For most of the time it has served me well. Decent coverage through most of my house (sometimes I would need to turn off the wifi to reestablish the link to a closer node.) From then until now I have easily tripled the amount of smart/connected devices in my home. The advent of work from home has made a noticeable difference in my connectivity. My newer laptops and cell phones have wifi6 capabilities that I have not been able to take advantage of. It was time to update my wifi network. I have always used Linksys switches, routers and adopted their earliest routers. I have never had problems getting previous systems up and running without any kind of drama. This system was not without a Rocky start but now that the system is up and running I am completely satisfied. First the Atlas system is very similar to the previous Velop system (save for it being slightly larger) which is not obtrusive in any room this goes in. No distracting lights to draw the eye unnecessarily. I prefer this look to something like the Orbi. I also had Linksys switches plugged into all of my Velops with WIRED back hauls to all nodes. It's my attempt to have as many wired devices as I could to keep the wireless bandwidth less cluttered. The Velop was removed form the network and I began bring the Atlas online. Using the same Linksys App I have been very familiar with over the last 4yrs, I got started on brining the primary node online. The app has not changed much and is made to be as simple as possible to use. No real means to glean any further information in the event that you run into problems. I have to shut down the app and restart the setup when I get stuck. No way for you to go back a few steps. For some reason I had many issues trying to get ANY of the Nodes to recognize my internet connection. I was on the phone with the Linksys Tier 1 Tech Support for 2 hours on a weekend just for them to tell me that they would have to elevate my issue to their Tier 2 Support. Tier 2 contacted me twice while I was not home and unable to work on the system. After what seemed like my 15th hard reset of the node on my own, the Atlas finally recognized my internet and I was up and running in 10mins. Everything was done the same. Seems like the Atlas did not want to work on the weekend. Once the first node was initialized and working the subsequent nodes snapped right in with NO further issues. After the nodes were setup I switched to my old SSID and ALL of my wireless items were back online without any drama. I thought maybe I could use my older nodes as additional child nodes but keep getting the message they were 'out of range'... Even though the old node was next to the new node. Even without the additional child nodes I have better corner to corner coverage throughout my entire home, basement, attic and backyard than the Velop system. Wifi dropoffs that occurred during early afternoon hours no longer occur. Unless there is an issue with the streaming platform, buffering is no longer something we see. Although I am still using my old switches, the additional ports and the usb connections on the back of the nodes are a welcome addition. The app while is simple to use (for ease of use for the beginner) there could be more extensive options. Outside of the strange issue of it not being able to detect my internet connection, once I was up and running, performance, connection and signal strength are excellent. Since I am able to have a wired backhaul between my nodes, I don't think I'm missing much going with the dual band vs the tri-band setup. I would like to know what gave me difficulties during the initial setup. In the end once I got the network up and running I am happy with the new Atlas system.

Understand Dual Band Limitations
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product to expand the coverage in our house but became disappointed over time. I did not find this product was able to regularly and accurately provide the coverage in the house to the few devices that were connected. I would not recommend this product as the dual band structure is too weak and cannot handle faster speeds.
